This mod allows converting oceans into land without needing to reload the game. Could you add this feature to your mod?

I use it just fine on on-going saves. Adding it to do changes, removes it to play, then later add it again and repeat. Multiple times on a save.

PSA: not usable in ongoing saves, button won't appear and will cause crash on save/reload

For anyone else struggling with the river mechanic I just spent 30 minutes trying to figure it out, and from what I understand is that the River.
1. Must start from a mountain
2. use the river arrows and lines to follow the hexagon tile of choice
3. Must select each individual tile
4.connect it to an ocean or lake tile
If you get a bunch of river circles then, you can use that as an outline to complete it. That is what I did and figured it out. Hope this helps

Would this cause crashes if I were to say.. create a land bridge over ocean to an island on turn one then turn the bridge back into ocean in the same turn?

Easy change to be able to delete religious units (and any other kinds). Find the file CTE_Gameplay.lua, open it in a text editor. Go to line 1183, it's in the section function DeleteUnits(plotId). Change:

This: local aUnits = Units.GetUnitsInPlot(plot);

to this: local aUnits = Units.GetUnitsInPlotLayerID(plot, MapLayers.ANY);

Dont forget the semicolon at the end.

Also how do removing/adding mountains and seas cause crashes? I've never crashed from them before, but I always do my changes in the ancient era.

So I started next to a 10 tile sea called "Gulf of Tehuantepec." I don't know why the game thinks this is a gulf considering it's completely land-locked lol. I used CME to add a land tile to make this "gulf" only 9 tiles, and fixed game data so it would be considered a lake, since any land-locked body of water that is 9 tiles or less is considered a lake by the game. This updated the in-game tile info to "lake," but it is still named the Gulf of Tehuantepec, instead of having the name regenerated with a lake name. Is there a way to do this name regeneration in CME? Or some other way to do it? Having a land-locked gulf was bugging me from the get-go, but now that this gulf is also technically a lake on top of that, the name is doubly getting on my nerves.

You can change the ownership of the plot through the game's own module, or restart the game to restore it to normal.

Hey OP, just letting you know there's a bug when using Maya, probably with other civs that add yields to tiles: if you give yourself a tile with this mod and then improve it with a farm as Maya you do NOT get the extra gold on farms. I didn't check if it also doesn't give you housing, though. Removing ownership of the tile via the mod and then buying it back fixed it for me.

Does anyone know how to Generate LAKE tiles (Not coast tiles). Trying to play Aztec and I'd like to edit a nice start but when I make lake tiles that are land locked they register as Coast tiles even though they're not part of an ocean. I've tried Copying other lake tiles but same result. I've even tried editing the "continent" part because "continent: none" I thought might have been signaling coast/ocean but it auto-changes back to none as soon as I click off the tile.

I have been using this mod in singleplayer to remove tunnels (using a personal ruleset of must have military engineer adjacent; and to skip it's turn waiting there), and it works quite nice thus far, I can demolish tunnels that i no longer want or ai spammed after my conquest. Would it be possible to create a standalone mod using this mod as a basis for such tunnel removals? I wanna play a fiend but using this mod may lead to distrust.

It works perfectly but the game is 50% unplayable since click on builders or doing any actions with builders causes the game to freeze for up to 5 minutes

If the tips in the FAQ for the button not showing up don't work, try remaking any game configurations you have once you had the mod enabled, using one before the mod was enabled seemed to cause that issue for me to persist despite the mod working without any expansions or other mods enabled.

Nothing. It's as if it never was there.

I am very frustrated with the game giving the same messed up starts and having to endlessly restart. The point wasn't to ever make the game a cakewalk. It was just to fix things a notch.

Good mod.
I experienced some minor problems playing RF.
1. I can't change mountain into other terrain.
2. Some terrain and resource combinations are not allowed. Like desert floodplain + wheat.
3. Some changes work well, but changed terrains are not expressed visually. Like removed oasis, added rivers.

Is there a way to change the menu to scroll down instead of up when selecting tile ownership? I’m unable to select the first few civilizations on the list since they end up off screen.

@Shannon My understanding was that dams need to be built on floodplains, and even with this mod we are unable to add floodplains to the game (without crashing).
