@Biggs, I concur. Just started a new game with this mod active and I got double the possible city districts.
Biggs 12 jun om 19:12
@son-goku yeah it seems to add more city district spaces, but not basic resource districts. But in this 4.0 series of updates of stellaris it seems that most of the jobs come from the zones that are inside the city districts so in theory you are supposed to build lots of city anyway, but i dont know for certain. i am reduced to being a total noob because of this update
Biggs 12 jun om 19:08
@son-goku im gonna try it again now on the 4.0 series of updates. its hard to comprehend this new district system but i think i know enough about it to know which districts this will add when i use it, so im gonna try it now, will report in a sec.

Does this mod still function?

I just started a new game since the 4.0 patch and my homeworld has 94 districts.
Biggs 5 jun om 19:01
if you update this , please please please upload this current mod as a legacy version for those who dont want to play on 4.0. As you might know, 4.0 update was total overhaul of districts and buildings and other things, and while i like its idea in theory it is very awkward for me to play it and the existing problems with the view screen and various mods make it unplayable , even on vanilla it is awkward for me to play it. So i ask that you keep a legacy 3.9 version of your mod just in case anyone wants to play without this total overhaul in the good ole pop system we all know.

oh, and there i was hoping it was 100% lol ill disable this for the time being then as i wait for an update to bring it upto speed as its one of my favorite mods
William de Burge 11 mei om 12:01
It only sort of works.

Yes, it does double the number of districts a planet can have, But...

Normally, the planet will get a number of Planetary Features that determine the number of Energy/Mine/Farm districts a planet can support. So, a Size 20 planet might have 12 to 15 districts spread across the Energy/Mine/Farm.

It worked this way in 3.14, now however, the number of districts are x2, the Energy/Mine/Farm are not.

what a relief thank you as i absolutely must use this as it makes even a small world pretty darn strong later once it fills up a bit
Phizz 10 mei om 14:04
All the defines this mod changes still appear valid as of 4.0
Varcona 8 mei om 7:11
hello there i love this, but im unsure with 4.0 release it will work fine with the changes to the game and all, its one of my go to mods as it makes planets more long term powerhouses by the late game

Just tested MOD it is for a different version then mine but still works!! does not work on save files started before mod was installed, at the start of new game all planets will have more districts, if you increase the Planet size this mod will not add more district space, i have another mod that builds planets bigger but no increase in the permanent space on a district.. Great Mod im sick and tired of 2 square energy districts, it would be nice if i grow a planet that districts increase as well.. THANK YOU FOR THE MOD
CETNIK 6 mrt om 13:53
how about now?
Zorro1608 30 nov 2024 om 3:02
At the time of writing this mod still works ,thanks man :D
Biggs 8 okt 2023 om 1:34
top quality mod bro. good work
Biggs 23 aug 2023 om 7:12
i put an award on your mod for useful mod. pls update it if anything ever breaks it.
gotta have this mod. planets fill too quickly
Biggs 23 aug 2023 om 7:11
i confirm this mod works. doubles the amount of districts. unlike other mods which i dont want, this mod does NOT create any new type of district which messes up my system. only adds more original districts so if you use mods relevant to districts this still works. great mod. all my planets get full up quickly. and without mods the planets are FAR TOO SMALL. multiplayer games are rediculous when you only have 5 slots to build before your planet is full and overpopulated so i dont play multiplayer. i use mods. i am also using a mod that makes homeworlds size 25, this mod works with that mod at same time
Biggs 23 aug 2023 om 4:48
gonna try your mod. is it updated?
NovaCameron  [auteur] 5 jan 2022 om 14:15
The problem with NOT changing the amount of deposits is that planets will end up with the standard amount of deposits which most likely wont be enough districts since deposits determine how many and which districts you get. Also helps when you have more district types. Deposits aren't changed only the amount generated. Remember only defines are changed.
VagrantHero 1 mei 2021 om 19:24
Would you be willing to make a version that doesn't alter deposits?
Seelenschwarz 22 apr 2021 om 20:23
Still works on 3.X
DoritoBurrito 4 apr 2021 om 23:12
Using this in conjunction with a mod that multiplies the number of housing and jobs per district by 5... I'm never gonna run out of housing or jobs now!
Eternum 13 nov 2020 om 10:58
update pls
NovaCameron  [auteur] 14 mei 2020 om 14:21
Got rid of the red icon for ya. :D
polycarpuk 13 mei 2020 om 1:29
This still works in 2.7
Atom, He Who Seeks Nowhere 20 apr 2020 om 16:25
For some reason my home planet always has 32 city districts
Master Shake 28 mrt 2020 om 18:38

William de Burge 10 jan 2020 om 19:23
Update: I had to unsubscribe/resubscribe to the mod. All works now.
William de Burge 10 jan 2020 om 19:11
I have the mod near at the bottom the the load order, but it isn't working.
NovaCameron  [auteur] 10 jan 2020 om 17:44
Updated and Fixed the deposit issue for uncapped districts.
NovaCameron  [auteur] 10 jan 2020 om 17:03
Working on it. And I've found that it must go near the bottom of the load order.
MrQuacker 10 jan 2020 om 13:04
can we get an update for the newer version please?
James Fire 25 nov 2019 om 19:05
Bigger Colonies - Physical Size Fix is one such mod.
NovaCameron  [auteur] 25 nov 2019 om 13:53
it seems that planet blockers are much more tied into the number of planet resource districts now. The is no easy fix for it. I would have to rework the deposit numbers. Since there are tons of mods that do that.... It's not really feasible. I'll keep it in mind but the number of districts heavy tied to deposit numbers now. It should still work on ringworlds, habitats, and ecumenopoli though. those don't have deposits.
LunarLeviathan 27 okt 2019 om 10:03
I'm not entirely sure this is still working in 2.5

My planets are very, very large and the districts seem to be far less than they were before
NovaCameron  [auteur] 8 jun 2019 om 16:05
yaaa I fixed the mod file for updates and future updates.
James Fire 3 mei 2019 om 7:13
For what? It is just a defines edit. It still works.

Update?
NovaCameron  [auteur] 22 apr 2019 om 20:18
Removed requirements cause they are included into one of the planet ui mods. And ya I need to just update the version number. You need a ui mod as the boxes just don't work at these sizes and the numbers overflow in the ui. And ya I need to get around to finishing the ecumenopolis mod and working with an ascendancy perk? Hmmm ya there is a way to do that.
shilum_nehum 17 apr 2019 om 10:59
I was wondering if you could make a mod that does this but uses the mastery of nature decision as the catalyst, that way you could repeat it as much as needed for whatever size planet you have
NECEROS 22 mrt 2019 om 14:48
Zparadis, you are absolutely correct. I figured that out too, but thanks for confirming it for me. I love this mod.
James Fire 9 mrt 2019 om 23:19
It is standalone, as in it works without them. It is literally a single defines edit.

Despite what the launcher says, it also works in 2.2.6
NECEROS 7 mrt 2019 om 12:52
PLEASE Update this to 2.2.6 and remove the requirements of the other mods. Make this a standalone mod please.
Archailect 4 feb 2019 om 16:54
Is this compatible with the UI Overhaul 1080p & 1440p?
GENOBEESRAGE 3 feb 2019 om 8:26
... he did it this way so it isnt incompatable with anything im pretty sure.
IHopie 3 feb 2019 om 8:17
you understand that you can just do this in 00_defines.txt and change NUM_DISTRICTS_FROM_PLANET_SIZE from 1 to 2 or to what ever you want i tryed 3 and got planet size 32, and got 97 districts no need for a mod or you can make your own
Sumatris 3 feb 2019 om 6:28
I was delighted to have found a mod like this, only to realize it depends on another mod that itself depends on yet another one. Sorry, but that's just too convoluted for me. Any chance you could make this stand-alone?
