@Joe: thanks man. Yeah I actually was able to find that one. I was using his new mod but it didn't work, hence why I was looking for other ones. But then I realised I could just use the standalone ones like the one you linked, and those work correctly.

His new mod is having some issues respecting the mod options for some reason.

It also allows you to turn off sappers as well, so you don't need to use mine if you don't want.

Oh, they're worse. However, this mod was built long before breacher raids were a thing and so disabling those is out of this mod's scope. There are already mods that disable breachers, so I don't see much point in adding it to this one.

It should be working fine with 1.4. 99% of the people saying it doesn't work are conflating breacher raids with sapper raids. With this mod enabled, sapper raids simply can't happen. You can't even manually trigger them in dev mode. They'll always be replaced by a normal attack raid.

Is there a mod that disable the raiders using their weapons as mining weapons because only seeing my pawns hit the trap is starting to piss me off

Technically, as far as the game code goes, there are no mechanoid sappers. There are only mechanoid breachers (Termites), and they only follow breacher logic. That being said, this mod disables the sapper raid event, not any kind of breach raid or mechanoid raid (these also have their own logic separate from the other raids).

In short: no, this mod doesn't disable the mechanoid breachers.

It was originally outside the scope of the mod (they didn't exist when the mod was created), and now there's another mod that does remove breach raids. I could easily disable them with this mod, but don't like stepping on other modders' toes.

I indeed haven't encountered sappers, what I'm actually seeing are breachers, I saw you replied to a previous commenter saying this doesn't disable breach raids, any specific reason?
They are essentially the same, except that 1 uses explosives to dig through walls and the other breach axes.

Does the raid alert specifically say they're sappers? If they are, it will always include the line "It looks like they want to use sappers to tunnel around your defenses." Otherwise, they're not sappers. Alternatively, there's a raid behavior conflict somewhere in your mod list because with my mod enabled, you can't even spawn a sapper raid. It will always spawn as an immediate attack raid.

I've got this at the bottom of my load order, yet I still get sapper raids (the ones that throw grenades to break walls and stone hill/mountain to get to your base, I have not however had any breach raids (the ones that use the breach axe) ever since I got this mod.

It seems the 2 are swapped? Maybe something since it was last updated?

Works no problem at all, thanks. I use this in my humans vs terminator(android tiers, and terminator tx mod) series, building a base in a post-apocalypse world. And instead of 1 tile killboxes I use actual defense, barbed wire, trenches and etc. To wage war on the terminators.
Having sappers would not make this run at all.

They added in a breaching mechanic at some point that may be causing that behavior. If that's what's doing it, the raid text will include something like "These raiders intend to breach your walls. They'll determine their own path into your colony and destroy anything in their way."

Not dead, just on life support. It's been exactly one year to the day since my last update. I've updated it to 1.3 and completely recoded it. I don't know how long it hasn't been working for, but probably a while since they changed the raid logic a while ago. Give it a shot and let me know if you have any problems.

I agree 100000% Like, are we able to do this to other colonies and not be penalized for doing it? "You're raid has been eaten by an insects" lol.

It does not work for 1.3. The changes in the game appear to have made it so the raiders just decide to dig or grenade thru any wall, even a 400x400 mountain as opposed to being actual sappers.
I hope an update to this mod is possible because sappers are a stupid mechanic.

It may be possible to remove the mechanoid itself from the scenario options, but I know there is no way to just remove the mechanoid sapper.

tempted to get this, not because sappers are too annoying, but my defenses surround my base so well that it breaks the AI for sapper raids, and thats ALL the storytellers want to send at me.

Does anyone know of a mod that prevents enemies from being able to dig at all? Regular enemies will still try to mine past your defenses under certain circumstances.

hey I left a comment earlier saying I hadn't gotten any more raids since installing the mod, but I just got one after using dev mode, so if anyone else has that problem, maybe try spawning a small raid and it'll fix it
