i think a stat on it since it is a paint brush the enemies you backstab become the color of the oppiste team.

I was thinking for a paintbrush, an effect could be to paint your enemies the opposite color instead of killing them, making them appear to their team, only, as someone on the opposite team and allowing the marked player to take damage from their own team. The only counter to this effect would be medics. If they can heal the person, obviously they're on their team. Also, the marked player can't do damage to their own team. So there's another check.I'm thinking medics could reverse the mark but maybe having to go back to the spawn as a delay would be more suitable, to compensate for what's lost with no backstab.
-Marked medics still heal their own team, of course (definitely not the other)
-Marked engineers would not be immediately killed by their own sentries (unless that makes the loss of backstab fair). Their sentries couldn't change color, too, I have to find. So I guess another check could be the repair of his buildings.

@Piecheese; It doesn't say anywhere that it's blood, it was intended as paint, however, with a 1 second VMT edit, both teams can use the red tip texture :)

Dried paint is serious business. I think it would be interesting if the decal tool could be used on this, and backstabbed victims have the decal applied to the back of their corpse.
