@ Derek aka Derek: I don't know if you noticed, but the pistol is actually a energy weapon. Barrel length probably wouldn't matter. Plus, I want to keep the same proportions that LAPD 2019 blaster had (this was based on the idea and visuals).

That's fine, I was simply using handgun terminology. It still needs to extend back further. The bolt could still be cycled. It make sense aesthetically and realistically. setting everything back further and extending the barrel only makes sense, it would balanced the gun better and have a longer barrel.

@ Derek aka Derek: it has a sort of charging handle in the end instead of "traditional" slide.

it would be so perfect if the slide extended all the way back to the end of the rail, but it's got this weird gap.

A sniper to a damn pistol

After using this I must say: THIS IS ONE OF THE NEATEST MODS OF ALL TIME!!! Normally that weapon is about as appealing as a colonoscopy, but using this was actually fun!! Thank you!

This is pretty original idea and i like everything about it, except the firing animation. It just looks unnatural. Maybe the arms move too much and slightly too slow idk.

@ 794redfield: Not that farfetched when you think about it. It's an energy weapon re-design based on gun prop from Blade Runner, which also was in Fallout games as 5.56 Pistol (in which it used said rifle cartridges).

Plus, that black box in front end is supposed to be target computer module. Kinda works as scope replacement.

This gun feels really great to fire generally, I've been using it with default rifle sounds so far so I'll see how my mileage goes with replacers.
Only complaint I have is with the reload animation, the way the left hand moves over the battery as though it was ejecting cartridges from a revolver looks a bit floaty, and the animation for replacing the battery is also slightly off, maybe it's just because the battery is small and it feels like the character's thumb should be pushing it into its seating during the animation
Really great idea for a replacer though, best thing I've seen since that addon that replaces the Chrome shotgun with a single action revolver!

@ Killah Zillah: More like Deckard's blaster merged with Chiappa Rhino (not that far from Mateba, though. Same designer). The animations are modified versions of my Chiappa Rhino mod's animations.

Reminds me of what would happen if you merged Deckard's blaster with a Mateba revolver. It's a really cool and unique design that somehow feels like its own thing while being a reference to something else, that's a hard balance to strike and I think it accomplishes that!

I chose to replace hunting rifle because of the scope and 15 round mag. The scope system fits pretty well with the fictional aiming computer module thingy and 15 rounds is pretty good capacity for a pistol.

If I made a script to convert it into a secondary weapon... What capacity should it have?

Same question goes for Magnum version.

I wonder if this all is happening in the same universe of yours...
