I never lost hope, yayyy!!

Okay, so I've looked into the Machine empires issue a bit more and have decided not to change anything. The rationale behind this is simple: Servitors and assimilators can research both of the needed techs. Make sense why exterminators wouldn't and a generic machine empire wouldn't have an imperative to make biological life.
That One Strange Fellow  [ophavsmand] 27. mar. 2019 kl. 5:10
"Active" Yeah, maybe at communicating with people but not so speedy at updating.
VirtualboyX 26. mar. 2019 kl. 20:19
Wow, it's been a while since I have seen such an active author, I just wanted to congratulate you for your hard work. I wish you the best.
Kencko 24. mar. 2019 kl. 11:10
Thank you time to start a dead galaxy run =]
That One Strange Fellow  [ophavsmand] 16. mar. 2019 kl. 16:12
I still haven't fixed the issue with machine empires. I need to look into it.
Local Dent 16. mar. 2019 kl. 14:21
Okay I might just be thick, but can machine empires use this at all? Every time I play them they don't really get gene technologies available.
Cesilfei 6. mar. 2019 kl. 14:47
@That One Communist Fellow
Oh, I actually found the last thing I needed to research recently, sorry about that. ^^'
That One Strange Fellow  [ophavsmand] 6. mar. 2019 kl. 14:18
@TomKazansky, I've looked into the files and there is nothing in there that would screw up the observation posts. Are you sure it isn't G&G?
@Cesilfei, are you robotic? If so, then there is a possibility I messed up something that I will need to fix... If not, then have you researched the life engineering techs? More importantly, are you a devouring swarm or fanatic purifiers?
Cesilfei 4. mar. 2019 kl. 16:13
For some reason my species is disallowed from participating and I haven't found anything that really changes that, how do I fix this?
TomKazansky 4. feb. 2019 kl. 20:06
Ok. When I finish constructing observation post on primitive planet , Observation post not activate all mission buttons [G&G mod + Life 2.2 Mod] but only activate record mission buttons [add Unity and Society] [Life 2.2 Mod].
That One Strange Fellow  [ophavsmand] 4. feb. 2019 kl. 13:57
Hmm... Unusual. I don't use Gods & Guardians anymore since it had too many incompatibilities with other mods. Can you please describe the crash?
TomKazansky 4. feb. 2019 kl. 2:22
Um.. This mod crash with God's & Guardians mod.. How could I treat it?? Is there any compatibility mod??
Zanyth 3. feb. 2019 kl. 9:58
Yeah, turns out I just had some really bad luck, as I hadn't found any pre-sapients till just a minute ago. Guess what showed up in the list immediately after researching Epigenetic Triggers, lol.
That One Strange Fellow  [ophavsmand] 3. feb. 2019 kl. 9:33
Looking into the technology file again, you need to have Epigenetic Triggers and Gene Tailoring to create pre-sentients (nothing special for Society Engineering, just the previous tech). Life Engineering itself has some sort of controller for "ethic_rebuild_installed". An ascension perk called "ap_life_creators" would be needed in that case. I don't know what that means, but do you have any mod like that?
Zanyth 3. feb. 2019 kl. 9:13
I'm not sure if it's just a result of a mod conflict or not, but for some reason I haven't seen either technology for creating primitives appear at all since the last update. What's required for them to appear now? I'm hoping that if it IS a conflict, knowing what they require might help me track down the issue.
That One Strange Fellow  [ophavsmand] 30. jan. 2019 kl. 18:47
Of course I will make it work for 2.2.4 after it is released. I use this mod too and I want to share it with others who miss engineering life.
Hetunm 29. jan. 2019 kl. 20:37
thanks for your reply,i can't ask more as knowing make mod is not easy, but i really hope this mod will support the 2.2.4 after it official release
GoblinEngineer 29. jan. 2019 kl. 16:02
I can understand and respect that, and I do appreciate you resurrecting what parts of the mod you did.
As far as 2.2.4, from my understanding it's mostly QOL and perfomance updates, but I don't know all of the actual changes
That One Strange Fellow  [ophavsmand] 29. jan. 2019 kl. 15:37
I don't have plans to increase the scope of the mod. I only really use the features currently in this update and wanted to share it with others so they can use it if they want. It is similar in that respect to all my other mods.
@Hetunm, I don't know what is changed in 2.2.4 so I can't predict its compatibility.
GoblinEngineer 29. jan. 2019 kl. 15:18
So I understand the current limitations of the mod, my only question is if you yo uhave any intention of ever converting the portion of the Life Engineering Facility portion, where you could simply engineer a new species on a planet you already colonized and go through those projects. If not I understand, I'm just wondering.
Hetunm 29. jan. 2019 kl. 7:57
it seems not work on 2.2.4 test version
Hetunm 29. jan. 2019 kl. 5:50
thanks for this mod, it`s time to be fallen empire now
That One Strange Fellow  [ophavsmand] 28. jan. 2019 kl. 18:58
Yes, pacifists can use this. I have just published a fix for not being able to create pre-sapients and added two genetic tech requirements to the Life Engineering tech.
Mack Daddy 28. jan. 2019 kl. 18:58
nvm
Mack Daddy 28. jan. 2019 kl. 18:56
so pacifist species can't use this at all?
CMDR Emotions 28. jan. 2019 kl. 13:54
Also it seems that engineering pre-sapients doesn't work. The project appears, complete the research, event menu to pick the group, final event saying the pre-sapients are there and should be uplifted asap. Probably related to not having gene modding.
CMDR Emotions 28. jan. 2019 kl. 13:21
Found a bug, since you ported it, I hope you can fix it. Life Engineering (the pre-sapient gen tech) can show up before you even have gene modding researched. The +1 mod point would be nice and all if I could even get gene moding by 2065.
Xherdos 28. jan. 2019 kl. 11:29
but when i use my science ship i ONLY can create the Stone Age Primitives and not the pre - sapients (basicly no society)
키으기 26. jan. 2019 kl. 6:15
Thank you I'll use it well
That One Strange Fellow  [ophavsmand] 20. jan. 2019 kl. 13:17
No, pre-sapients can be created. Just nothing other than Stone Age Primitives for the primitives.
Xherdos 20. jan. 2019 kl. 9:18
... so that means no pre sapients? that shit
That One Strange Fellow  [ophavsmand] 13. jan. 2019 kl. 7:34
Only Stone Age primitives are capable of being created. I didn't really care to make any modifications beyond the bare minimum. You can always wait for Stone Age primitives to advance to the Industrial Age.
Pinenuts 13. jan. 2019 kl. 4:34
So other civilizations like Industrial age species are not able to be created yet?
That One Strange Fellow  [ophavsmand] 12. jan. 2019 kl. 15:51
Have you set the policy to allow life engineering?
efrank 12. jan. 2019 kl. 14:47
I must be doing something wrong. After I research the appropriate technologies, I put my science ship over a habitable world that I've surveyed and is in my territory, but nothing happens. Please help!
Skill Less 12. jan. 2019 kl. 3:07
Glad to see someone who has taken over. Thank you :)
The Erubian Warlord 9. jan. 2019 kl. 23:43
but D.A. bots can L.en.?
That One Strange Fellow  [ophavsmand] 9. jan. 2019 kl. 13:26
Yes. However, Raging Swarms, Fanatical Purifiers, and Exterminators are unable to Life Engineer for obvious reasons.
jalang 9. jan. 2019 kl. 2:27
Hi, the policies claim that Life Engineering is not allowed. I must research it first and after that new policy option appears?
That One Strange Fellow  [ophavsmand] 8. jan. 2019 kl. 18:42
It is pretty much all I used as well. I never really cared for the other features.
Depraved Arachnophile 8. jan. 2019 kl. 18:32
FINALLY; the creation of primitives was all i used the mod for, and I missed it SO MUCH! Thank you!
