I suffered a weird bug with these roads today. I used BOB to change vanilla traffic lights to UK traffic lights, and ever since it's impossible to remove crosswalks from UK roads. Even after uninstalling BOB and undoing all my changes, the issue persists.

I think I got a glitch that my traffic lights and stop line weren't perfectly shown on the road when clicked the traffic light button in the "Junction" tab. Is there anything way you can fix it?

I adore your work is there a way to make markings visible though i cant see them from far so it feels so generic :( even though it is magnificent.
RedVelocity May 1, 2023 @ 7:52am
Thanks a lot for this pack! considering how narrow UK roads are, will there ever be a 2U 4L road with no parking?
teboilin persemooses Jan 29, 2023 @ 11:17am
give way markings and such automatically appearing again would be a huge help for immersion. no hurry, though.
KamiKrazied Aug 31, 2022 @ 2:48pm
There is a weird glitch where no turning left traffic light doesn't animate, it is stuck at Amber and Green. where it should change with the junction. Other than that a great pack.

Hello I am working on some custom roads like these would it be possible for me to use these roads as a base for my roads as they already have many things my roads will require to have great quality in them.
jiaohyang Jun 10, 2022 @ 11:08am
Hi Macwelshman,I found that the road packs are not compatible with the latest TMPE, resulting in the "Give way" signs and decals not being displayed automatically, I wonder if this can be fixed
jiaohyang Jun 9, 2022 @ 7:16pm
Why do the "GIVE WAY" lines and signs not show up automatically in my game? do not show up automatically, even though I have set the priority of the intersection in the traffic directions.
PapaRockett Jun 3, 2022 @ 3:09am
How can I make giveway lines appear?

@Shane_UK10 Thank you so much. It's very much appreciated.
Shane_UK10 Jan 21, 2022 @ 12:37am
Thank you for taking the time to respond. You've put so much time and effort into creating great content for UK users. I know it isn't why you put the effort in but I have dropped a small donation via PayPal in thanks.
Macwelshman  [author] Jan 16, 2022 @ 8:40am
@Shane_UK10 I have been looking into it but it's a huge commitment and I can't promise anything. I glad you enjoy them as they are.
Shane_UK10 Jan 16, 2022 @ 5:25am
I know these are a project that you worked on a long time ago but I absolutely love them.

Is there any chance you will revisit them?

Now that TMPE is commonly used and Adaptive Networks allows linking into the Give Way and Stop settings in TMPE is there any way you would up date them to take advantage of these new features?
NOVAGEN Jan 11, 2022 @ 5:19am
the bicycle marking on the road is glitched. please fix
KeiwaM Dec 14, 2021 @ 3:22pm
I love these. But is there a chance you can make them compatible with TMPE/Network Skins 2 and allow us to remove the pedestrian crossings at intersections? It would greatly help, especially with Intersection Marking Tool.
joe-frosch Jul 30, 2021 @ 9:42am
Tolle Straße aber eins fehl es müsste welche davon auch als Tram Straßen Geben
dann wehre es noch klass er
scottfraser88 Jun 22, 2021 @ 3:00am
great roads, although the light grey/ markings are incredibly hard to see. Someone below mentioned making the roads darker so will look into that.
I only wish there were more! I had another pack with some 2+1 lanes and 3+2. Wish had these in a UK form.
Sparky66 Jun 21, 2021 @ 3:11am
A three lane one way would be a great addition. Really useful and common in those complex UK town centre one way systems.
Shane_UK10 Jun 14, 2021 @ 11:22pm
If you have difficulty seeing the road markings the Road Options mod allows you to make the roads darker and the increased contrast makes them visible. It has made these roads perfect for "playing the game" rather than just creating panoramas.
danetruscott Feb 16, 2021 @ 7:33am
I cant get the markings to show up in any of the roads, I have subscribed to all of the Required Items
Pixelclone Dec 22, 2020 @ 10:43pm
Is there a way that I can stop some of the signs appearing automatically but still have access to them in FindIt for me to place manually? For example, the dual carriageways automatically show 50 signs whereas I want to replace them with your NSL signs manually or have no signs altogether.
racist italy man Sep 25, 2020 @ 3:53pm
also could you perhaps make your own streetlights glow orange instead of white? yellow/orange sodium lights have been a staple of british roads and it's kinda sad to them phased out IRL
racist italy man Sep 23, 2020 @ 3:56am
could you make your roads compatible with street lights made by PelusoNN, they always face the wrong way
Husy Sep 11, 2020 @ 9:44am
Hello, i would like to congratulate you on the very awesome roads you've made, but the seem to have a problem. Most if not all 2 lane 2 way roads with parking have the parked cars facing the same way, as if it were a one way road.
can u fix them?
leftbehind Aug 26, 2020 @ 10:06pm
@John, if you have Loading Screen Mod set to "load used assets" it will still load them even if disabled. An alternative is to use boformer's Network Skins 2 to remove them from individual segments, or use Klyte45's Prop Replacer mod (I think that's what it's called) to remove them from the network (all segments).
Macwelshman  [author] Aug 26, 2020 @ 3:39pm
@Sir John Vanbrugh just disable the light in the content manager. If they’re not enabled then they can’t appear. If there is some mod (not sure which one it would be) that auto enables assets then disable that too.
Sir John Vanbrugh Aug 15, 2020 @ 9:38am
Is there a way to remove the street lights from these roads? Tried to disable them in the content manager, but they didn't disappear
JavaIsBetter May 27, 2020 @ 8:00am
i love this pack. Will we ever get tram roads? It would be really cool to have trams that fit in with the rest of the roads.
Macwelshman  [author] Apr 24, 2020 @ 9:42am
@BB Thanks! The lights I created for my essentials pack are rotated incorrectly. They work fine as-is but when they're swapped out using Network skins they will have the wrong rotation.
Unfortunately I can't just update the light as lights for all the roads currently used would suddenly point the wrong way.
I'm in the process of updating and solving issues with this pack. Not sure when this will be finished. Keep checking this space.
BB Apr 23, 2020 @ 12:42pm
First of all, thank you so much for creating these roads. It's one of the best collections on the workshop

However, I having an issue with your roads and Network Skins 2 (which I use to remove lights). For the 1 Lane, 1 Way, 9m: No Parking road I am unable to remove the lights using Networks. However, I am able to do this for the 2 Lane, 2 Way, 11m: No Parking (Suburban) road.

Any idea what could be causing this?
MarKing Apr 19, 2020 @ 5:38am
I'm glad to hear you're working on these. They are amazing. It would be nice to have something like a 3-lane 1-way with a bus lane.
MisoRamenSoup Apr 8, 2020 @ 9:48am
@aubergine: TY good to know it will be there in the future as I believe the ingame stop sign works different from the TM:PE giveway, hence the question.
leftbehind Apr 7, 2020 @ 1:59pm
@mentalstatic: Use the vanilla stop sign (Traffic Routes info view > Junctions tab) to activate the give way decals/props. The TMPE priority signs work separate from that although we are planning to make the Stop / Give Way priorty signs also enable the vanilla Stop sign in future update.
MisoRamenSoup Apr 7, 2020 @ 12:17pm
Noswaith dda Macwelshman. I'm looking at changing over to your roads. Looking at the giveway/traffic light auto decals/markings and I noticed that using tm:pe the giveway doesn't activate the markings. Guessing I have no choice but to use the ingame stop sign or is this something that should work? Works fine for the lights.
karl Apr 2, 2020 @ 4:32pm
@Macwelshman texture sharing like how loading screen mod does? now it makes sense! yeah, the road editor is very difficult to use. simple things seem to take a long time because of the UI. but oh, I didn't realise you were updating them. No worries. I won't share the one's I've made if it's a bad idea. I've done a few to remake parts of my hometown, they all seem to work fine in-game, lane arrows are correct and such (cslmodding.info is a godsend). I've got a 2W2L-17M +P +Tree, 2W2L-11M +P, 1W2L +P +C, and a 1W1L NP cobblestone (it's just a repeated decal prop because I don't understand texturing) if they're useful ideas or not haha.
Macwelshman  [author] Apr 2, 2020 @ 2:41pm
@károly* I'm glad you like these roads. I'm currently updating the Small Roads Pack and I'm open to suggestions for additional roads. I have to admit that I think it would be a bad idea to share the amended roads. As I'm sure you've discovered, using the road editor is a whole world of pain and took me a very long time to get my head around (still a lot of stuff I don't know). The textures I created are very different from the vanilla ones because I created them to be used on multiple roads and take advantage of texture sharing.
karl Apr 2, 2020 @ 11:46am
It's ok I used a white line decal to make a lane marking for that one. I'm going to make another one of this road which is two way traffic with one parking lane (a lot of roads in my town are like this with people only parking on one side). Hopefully the game will let me do this... Another is add trees with the paris tree grate decal underneath - or tree guard, not decided - to 2L2W-15 Suburb. I appreciate you probably don't have the time to help and are really busy making more stuff or doing whatever, but I did want to ask, is it ok to share them? It's ok if not, they are yours after all. Thank you for the roads, they're wicked.
karl Apr 2, 2020 @ 11:45am
Hey mate. I don't know a thing about texturing but wanted to make a few extra roads to use. I had a look at your roads in asset editor. I wanted to make a 2-way bus lane based on UKR-SR 2L2W-11 Grass since we have one of those roads in my town. So, I get how to put the UKR Bus Lane decal on the road but I'm guessing the red lane colouring is part of the road segment's diffuse texture (?). I really don't know how to use it, I had a look at the texture dumped with Cgameworld's Network Dump Tool but it looks very different to the ones for the default roads shown in his tutorials. I also tried to make a road based on 1L1W-12 Suburb which was (for LHT) parking, car lane, cycle lane. Again, I think the cycle lane marking is part of the texture (?). (cont..)

@roysten10: The driving side is determined when you created the city, but with some effort you can alter an existing city to drive on the other side - see this guide: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1742087656

How does one change a Rural A road from RHD to LHD?
STEP BRO? Mar 31, 2020 @ 9:27am
Hey guys, As much as i love these roads, and the entire project, i would like to manually place my mailboxes and road signs ect. Is there a way to stop the UK roads from spawning the road signs and mail boxes ect? I do have "Hide It!", however it doesnt seem to be working. Any help would be great! Thank you! :)
artytc Mar 11, 2020 @ 9:46am
Just saw the previous comments. I assume that the parking directions are set to "both" is because it is a two-way road? Maybe it would be more realistic to set it to one forward and one backward, according to their adjacent driving lanes? I checked the settings of the vanilla roads in the asset editor and they are set like that.

I also did some testing - when direction is set to "both" for parking, the direction will always follow the direction of the segment (depends on which way you drag the road). So in that case, in the two-way roads, cars on both sides would park facing the same direction even if that's a two-way road.

Just some suggestions. I understand updating the pack would be a tedious job. I appreciate your efforts and want to thank you for creating such a great pack!
Macwelshman  [author] Mar 11, 2020 @ 3:51am
@arthurmm See my response below.
artytc Mar 10, 2020 @ 4:51am
The cars are parking in a wrong direction at the roadsides. In the two-way roads, the cars in both parking lanes faces the same direction. Is this intentional?
Macwelshman  [author] Feb 28, 2020 @ 10:39am
@Kabanov_43 You are right. I'm currently in the process of updating and expanding the UK Road Project so this will be addressed then.
Nimblewright Feb 28, 2020 @ 10:22am
Macwelshman - I have a feeling it may be that your light model is orientated the other way around to the majority. I found I needed to rotate your lights 180 degrees when applying to other roads.

Echoing hydro.collider, brilliant work, thank you :)
JavaIsBetter Feb 23, 2020 @ 6:59am
what is that lovely railway seen in the level crossing image?
AvalonMist Feb 16, 2020 @ 6:26pm
It's all good my friend. That fact that you do all this work in the first place is just amazing. That you update and tweak just reinforces what a consummate professional you are. Thanks again for the time spent.
Macwelshman  [author] Feb 16, 2020 @ 3:59pm
@hydro.collider No problem. There's been an issue with replacing these lights with Network skins and them pointing the wrong way. I'm looking into sorting this but just got ahead of myself.
