It was built by Korean slaves during Japanese illegal occupation of Korean peninsula.

Still a fun old map, would love to see it updated to be more accessible to the rest of the map in the future. We used it on a season of my MP server and we traveled to Hashima from New Denver by clearing the woods and towing a boat. It was great, we enjoyed it a lot. Not broken like the comments are implying. Thanks bro.

Don't suppose you could make an updated version for the more modern Slocan Lake upload that is moved southwest of the old one? I don't even actually find this at 0x36 with my regular map compliment loaded, just empty water, and that's with it loading last. Could also add minimap support..

I really love this map, had been using this map even before the announcement of the 3D place-able items for a lonely island survival. However when I explored it earlier today to see if the new update has changed anything about it (especially with the purpose of PVP) I noticed that the gun and ammo loot tables are unbalanced. Guns seem only to appear in the police-equipment building, maybe four to five crates all around the map, and the occasional gun case in the closets and drawers (gun mod I am using is the Vanilla Firearms Expansion mod). The rest are just ammo and magazines. I am not sure if this is intended, but it would be fantastic if the loot tables between guns and ammo were much more balanced between each other. Other than that I love immersing myself in this map's urban setting with little grassland and water all around, and hope you continue to work on it!

Yeah, awesome map, really enjoying it so far! But I am wondering if the recent update that overhauled loot tables is messing with gear spawns... can definitely still find stuff, but it's not the massive selection I saw from people showcasing the map in videos. Seems like Weapon Mods still spawn in fine, but guns themselves are kinda few-and-far between... could also just be that Brita's got a nerf and some customization options to weapon & ammo spawns ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Curious question, is the Hashima Island map and the Midway Island map independent from the vanilla world or are they present on the vanilla world but just placed very far away to ensure compatibility?
