I'm very sure it still works fine with 3.4, but I will take a closer look in the future.
To elaborate further: the files this mod touches get very rarely changed by PDX so usually it's update-safe.
Archemyre 14. maj 2022 kl. 8:44
Looking forward to a potential update, and thanks for making this regardless; it's just about a must-use for me.
error 4-0-4 17. mar. 2022 kl. 20:41
this also affect the authoritarian ethic?
xor  [ophavsmand] 17. feb. 2022 kl. 6:38
I don't know, or maybe some things changed in the meantime since I updated the mod the last time. Either way, a mod update is probably coming soon-ish with the new patch, so maybe I can take a look at some issues you mentioned. Thanks for pointing it out.
kuyan-judith 17. feb. 2022 kl. 0:00
The Recently Conquered modifier also already reduces government ethics attraction. And low living standards already reduce it via happiness. It kind of looks like you didn't notice the government ethics attraction modifier was a thing separate from the attraction factors in the ethics file and so recreated it via those.
kuyan-judith 16. feb. 2022 kl. 23:50
Seems to me Utopian Abundance making people support your empire's ethics is already covered in vanilla via Utopian Abundance -> high happiness -> high governing ethics attraction?
Beaver 4. okt. 2021 kl. 14:54
having any trade routes probably creates materialistic attraction.
Volkov 24. aug. 2021 kl. 13:45
I still have a issue of materialists popping up and never going away when I have no attraction to it.

Also, is there a list of everything in this mod that generations faction attraction? What exactly is xenophobe echo chamber?
ShinyNobody 24. juni 2021 kl. 8:59
it is way better with this mod. i used another mod but that mod made it nearly impossible to have pops from another thic. i have just one question/observation. on the autharian description they want high livint dtandarts but when i do that the ethic atraction loese neraly 20 (form the 100 percent for alle ethics together)
ShinyNobody 23. juni 2021 kl. 22:24
yep your mod helps my surpressed xenophiles are not growing but slowly reducing itself. Thats good.
xor  [ophavsmand] 23. juni 2021 kl. 14:49
I can't say I've ever had problems with everyone becoming xenophile while playing with this mod. So sure, give it a try and report back.
ShinyNobody 23. juni 2021 kl. 12:08
do you change stuff like the chance that a pop changes his ethics? I will test it with this mod but i hate vanila stellaris because you will always beecome xenohphile and the ai too.
xor  [ophavsmand] 9. maj 2021 kl. 6:37
ok so... funny thing, I did actually update for the beta, but I didn't upload that change yet, so that's not the reason. But at the same time that should mean that it should be working in the beta... too bad I didn't play egalitarian or else I would hopefully have noticed.
Tiasson 9. maj 2021 kl. 4:31
I also play 3.02
(... "Or did I even?" - you sound like the infinity machine :D)
ProspectPyxis 9. maj 2021 kl. 4:20
Playing on the 3.0.2 live release.
xor  [ophavsmand] 9. maj 2021 kl. 4:08
Interesting, need to check, maybe because I updated it to how it works in the beta? Or did I even?
Just to make sure, do you play on the beta or live?
Tiasson 9. maj 2021 kl. 1:17
I have experienced this as well - but hadn't isolated it to this mod (have a few to many mods perhaps?). Thank you for the observation ProspectPyxis!
ProspectPyxis 8. maj 2021 kl. 22:40
This mod seems to break the egalitarian faction slightly - the "free movement" demand never fulfills despite me having both resettlement disabled and no migration controls whatsoever.
Dizzy Ioeuy 23. apr. 2021 kl. 17:45
Getting "missing descriptor" and "not for current version" problems. Reloaded installed mods. Still there. Hand deleted it. Resubscribed. Still a problem.

XORs diplomacy mod update is working fine on the load screen, just not this one. Anyone else?
TheBigE 23. apr. 2021 kl. 12:56
Would anyone else be willing to make a third-party compatibility patch for this mod and Revolutions - Ethics and Civics?
ShinyNobody 9. apr. 2021 kl. 16:06
Is there a ist for the features? and does this nerv xenophiles X) because they are way to strong. supressed every faction and promoted another but xeno still growths and promoted is ignored. so annoying.
Orchidoclaste 25. dec. 2020 kl. 13:41
okay I wouldnt take your time, youve done a very nice mod btw it works well :)
gavinfoxx 22. dec. 2020 kl. 18:20
Not to mention you'd have to make one for ECE & ECA!
xor  [ophavsmand] 22. dec. 2020 kl. 6:57
Indeed, that would probably be an insane amount of work.
Aaronthelemon 22. dec. 2020 kl. 6:39
Is that the mod that adds multiple new ethics?
I feel thats a bit much for the author to make a compatability for as it would require all new attractions to each nee ethic.
Orchidoclaste 22. dec. 2020 kl. 5:58
hey, I like various ideas of the people in my empire so I get the ethics & civics expanded mod, is it possible that you could do a compatibility mod to feat with?
Dizzy Ioeuy 7. dec. 2020 kl. 17:35
awarded. thank you!
Archemyre 7. dec. 2020 kl. 9:40
It's baaack! :D
xor  [ophavsmand] 7. dec. 2020 kl. 8:43
Updated for Stellaris 2.8.* !

- slight reevaluation of all the things that I had modified in the past versions of the mod plus the stuff I haven't uploaded in the past
-> some things were changed slightly, some things removed, some things added

I also updated my other mod and added a new addon for it, so check that out! Link is in the description.
gavinfoxx 28. nov. 2020 kl. 12:14
Hi, there's a LOT of ethics mods and mods that add buildings and jobs and such! Are you ever going to add some more compatibility for some of the popular ones?
Hazardous 25. sep. 2020 kl. 13:53
just to be clear, does this mod make xenophile factions grow even faster, or can i actually be a xenophobe for once?
DrStrangelove05 7. maj 2020 kl. 14:13
Is this mod compatible with the AI mods, Starnet and/or Glavius?
LokiCharms 7. maj 2020 kl. 13:28
Crimson,

Uh hate to say it, but this mod is not updated for current version of the game so of course there will be issues.
PyroSaphuron 7. maj 2020 kl. 11:30
Uh, hate to say it, but Ethics Attraction is completely broken. I proved as much recently with some testing. One faction with a 3% attraction overtook my primary with over 60% (and at least +75% in Governing Ethics Attraction mods). The entire system is completely broken.
KingsDieTwice 5. maj 2020 kl. 16:24
Will you be posting the update as a separate workshop item?
xor  [ophavsmand] 16. apr. 2020 kl. 10:57
Good news everyone!

1) with the latest Stellaris update (2.6.3) pops finally seem to change ethics correctly meaning this mod will work better than before!

2) I'm currently back into Stellaris so expect an update of this mod very, very soon... (there are actually quite a few changes from the devs behind the scenes, so there really are some things I need to do) (also now that ethics shift works correctly I may need to rebalance some numbers)

Exciting times everyone, thanks for staying with me.
Unsalt Thyself 31. mar. 2020 kl. 2:42
Gonna be waiting for updates, good luck to you
xor  [ophavsmand] 26. mar. 2020 kl. 7:38
> Embracing a faction should only need 20%. Does this mod change the required amount?

Pretty sure I didn't change that.

> Maybe the mod files are still active?

If you're unsubscribed then that's impossible. Unsubscribing literally deletes all the files from your PC. But you can manually check \Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\281990 for this mod ID which is 1598171087
Arson with Lemurs ◕ω◕ 26. mar. 2020 kl. 4:52
I don't get it. I have this mod unsubscribed until it updates, but I think I still have these features in-game. I thought 2.6 added them :D Maybe the mod files are still active?
Aaronthelemon 26. mar. 2020 kl. 4:33
Embracing a faction should only need 20%. Does this mod change the required amount?
In 2.6.* I managed to shift the United nations of man away from xenophillic to xenophobic.
xor  [ophavsmand] 25. mar. 2020 kl. 20:35
Hm, interesting. When I update the mod I'll certainly look at some modifiers. Thanks for your input!

Also don't forget that kind of the point of this mod is that ethic attraction would make more sense in general, so in your case doing militaristic things would increase the attraction for that and decrease attaraction for pacifism.

But some thing that's (sadly) also relevant is that by default the implementation from Paradox is... not perfect. Meaning that it's not possible to entirely fix something that's broken but only possible to workaround it a bit.
My mod and the ideas in it are based on the default system working correctly, when that's not the case my mod sadly doesn't really work.
kgptzac 25. mar. 2020 kl. 19:16
This is a tangent but before 2.6 update, I find the ethic attractions from this mod is too good that it's almost impossible to change empire ethics suppressing existing empire ethic and promoting targeted ethic. I'm not talking about promoting spiritualism in a synthetic ascended empire, but more like dropping the pacifist ethic among many militarist neighbors kind of deal... it simply couldn't get past the 25% threshold to embrace faction.
xor  [ophavsmand] 25. mar. 2020 kl. 17:05
It shouldn't be completely broken, but well... it's not updated so I don't know which features currently work correctly and which don't.
kgptzac 25. mar. 2020 kl. 15:49
Thanks xor for the status. I can only assume this mod is broken as it is for Real Pop Ethics Shifting mod? Would be good if someone can confirm.
Aaronthelemon 19. mar. 2020 kl. 10:58
Take as long as you need.
xor  [ophavsmand] 18. mar. 2020 kl. 20:33
I have some good news and some bad news:
The good news is, yes, I certainly want to update my mods including this one.
but... the bad news is that I don't know when I will get to it. I'm currently not playing Stellaris and I don't even have the new DLC (yet).
I'm really sorry, but I can't say a date right now. Maybe in a few weeks, maybe in the summer. Also depends a bit on some personal issues in my life right now and how much time they will take.

If you subscribe to the comments here (there should be a box to add a checkmark above) I will post here when it gets updated.
Aaronthelemon 18. mar. 2020 kl. 16:42
This would be great for 2.6.x
Astacius 6. jan. 2020 kl. 5:56
hey, any update planned?
Ferreira 13. dec. 2019 kl. 15:25
Does it work for 2.5?
xor  [ophavsmand] 3. dec. 2019 kl. 5:46
I think StarNet should work.
