Loved this scenario from start to finish. It was incredibly fun, and I liked the easter egg you had toward your other scenario Far Side of the World
seánobroin 13. nov. 2021 kl. 12:09
@hammister thanks a million man. I'll pm you when I'm finished.
Chen'la 13. nov. 2021 kl. 7:00
Would be nice to replay this in the higher quality.
That being said I will re-record in the HD in the higher quality either way :WeWillDoIt: .

@seánobroin- If you could find the time I would love to see a remaster :-). Just let me know when you are finished and credit me as the designer of the original map!
seánobroin 12. nov. 2021 kl. 12:11
Hi hammister I really loved playing this campaign and I was wondering if I could remaster it for DE? It would include a redux of the terrain, instructions, and the aesthetics overall.
Hammister  [ophavsmand] 30. apr. 2020 kl. 11:28
@theboss2562. Glad you liked the campaign so far. You should get a new princess randomly every 10 minutes if your first princess got killed. So I would suggest you should wait just a litte bit longer. Could of course also be a bug.
JohnDonnGotti 30. apr. 2020 kl. 10:13
Really good campaign, One problem I destroyed my first castle and some time later the second princess spawned. Not knowing that their were some warlord troops close to my base (my knights brought them over when coming back from scouting) the princess was killed by one of them. I waited like 5 or 10 mins and she never re-spawned, what should I do? I am already 2 hours into it and I don't feel like restarting and before I knew she was dead I saved the game, any advice?

no esta en español?

This campaign just nailed it! Is pretty good made, you certainly have talent. Thanks for making this for us the community! Keep it up! :D :steamhappy: I hope we'll see another campaign soon, as good as this one.

Many good campaigns disable walls in their campaigns, for a good reason.
Walls are easily abusable for the AI, let me explain;

AI attacks works like attack from destination A to B and as long as there is an clear way to the B destination, they wont attack any blockades along the way.
That means if you build walls around your base and leave one hole on purpose, you know the AI will attack only from that direction.
So even walls without gates around your base in this Scenario would be cool, you would know the exact location(s) from which side enemy would attack.
SadowSon 4. mar. 2019 kl. 0:27
@Chen'la and Hammister

Fair comments. My line of thinking was more just defensive walls - not gates for the main town. Even Palisades would be cool.

In light of that though, I think the blacksmith town to the west needs a bit of an overhaul. Units seem to struggle to move around the static characters (Goats, peasants, etc) there. Maybe move them further off beside a building rather than in the town square?

@lachlanhomework: I m working on a new campaign- but unfortunatly not about the aztecs. No idea when it will be finished.
@PoorlyDrawnDuck: That is a good idea. I did not include a time limit in the scenario, because I wanted everything to be kinda relaxed and not to difficult.
@ecl-inc: Thank you for your nice feedback.
@SadowSon: I´m glad you had a good time with the scenario. To be honest, making walls/buildings appear with triggers is a a lot of work and as Chen`la pointed out, it would make things a bit too easy. Try the cordoba approach, if you want to see even more of the map!
Chen'la 3. mar. 2019 kl. 6:02
Walls would kinda prevent enemy AI from being such effective in the attacks.
I recommend trying the Cordoba approach too, it is entirely different gameplay.
SadowSon 3. mar. 2019 kl. 2:39
An excellent campaign that took me about three hours to complete. Always something happening to keep you on your toes and the economy is simple but keeps you focused. I do feel like you have far too many resources at the end (20K+ in all three) but I guess that's how most AOE games go.

It would have been nice if the players city/castle could have been fleshed out more! I would have liked to see walls around the town, some more houses and a proper gate for the castle. I'm fairly certain I managed to unlock every flag in the map.
ecl-inc 28. feb. 2019 kl. 10:44
You made the map I always wanted to make. Only way better than I could have. Well done, man. Good Work.
PoorlyDrawnDuck 26. feb. 2019 kl. 16:16
Fun and unique scenario.
One critique would be to force the player to send their princess to one of the kings within a time period. Maybe limit the amount of sheep being sent because eventually you end up with a ton of resources that you can't really use.
Loch Ness 25. feb. 2019 kl. 17:45
im hoping to see a aztec version of this soon. i love the series and you are continuously improving and becoming more unique

Thank you all for your very nice feedback and the nice comments! I uploaded the files a bit, so subscribing to the spanish and original version should not be an issue anymore. :steamhappy:
st.eam- glad you enjoyed switching sides- I was thinking about an option like you suggested, but in the end I skipped the idea, because I did not want the scenario to be tooo long.
st.eam 7. jan. 2019 kl. 13:55
As usual, allying with islamic granada emir(sultan?) was a good decision. I was waiting to finish my ally of father-in-law as before as there need to be one and only one ruler, but the scenario finished without trigger like that happening. Good game in all.
Sclubbish 3. jan. 2019 kl. 15:38
Hurray! I always love your campaigns.
igorhp 29. dec. 2018 kl. 13:25
ATTENTION: Don't subscribe to the spanish and english versions of this scenario, if you do that, you'll listen audios in both languages at the same time.

This was really cool. Too bad it wasn't a full campaign. But good job mate!

Cool, let's take a look this weekend, I enjoyed the previous ones.

Absolutely brilliant, I loved it! I'll definitely play it a second time soon. The cities and landscape are gorgeous, too.
WarisBad 27. dec. 2018 kl. 16:48
I've played a dozen custom campaigns yet and this is far the best. İt's absolutely epic.

Wow hervorragend. Kannst du auch eines zu Deutschland erstellen?
Hammister  [ophavsmand] 24. dec. 2018 kl. 23:38
Thank you all for your very nice feedback! Regarding your questions:
* noble_lancer: To mark a faction as defeated and prevent them from receiving their special unit for free, their castles must be destroyed. The faction then continues to fight with its modest resources. Will be explained a little better in the next update.
* superlisko: the cavalry you get for free from castile has improved stats- like all the unique units you get from various factions. Like Leon has improved infantry and Portugal has superior crossbows.
* Igorhp: A spanish translation would be amazing! For the voices I used a website called from text to speech. I edited the files with audacity.

As a spanish this was an INCREDIBLE CHRISTMAS GIFT, and the ending message, beautiful too¡ Good fun gameplay, lots of triggers, princess, alliances, invassions, just so so so so so so...PERFECT.

igorhp 23. dec. 2018 kl. 12:35
The narrator's voice: she's somebody in particular or you used any software like Loquendo???
igorhp 23. dec. 2018 kl. 12:33
Very funny scenario, as the other scenarios you made, but this is the best, the more complex. I'll try to translate to spanish... EIIIIIIIIII OLE !!!!!!!
mrk_ck 23. dec. 2018 kl. 9:46
great map and idea. hope to see more from you! i didn't find any bugs of sorts. i'm a big fan of your work, well done!
superlisko 22. dec. 2018 kl. 19:21
Great scenario. Just about right size to fully explore without getting stale near the end. Magyar hussars that I got from one of the kingdoms seemed to be getting more hitpoints that they were supposed ~500
mini_lancer 21. dec. 2018 kl. 17:02
Really enjoyed journeying in Medieval Spain - Fascinating scenario as always! I'm about half-way through, allying with Leon first and just had my 2nd princess. Instruction could probably be slightly clearer - I destroyed Portuguese castle and received the notification about their defeat, but nothing else happen - they don't turn back to ally, or gaining any vassalage. In the end I destroyed all their buildings to stop them from creating troops and harrassing my supply line - is this intentional? Will probably go through a few more times with different choices but that's the first thing that I notice. Campaign is slightly prone to crashing as well, and some saves can't be loaded, but I imagine that's more of the game's problem rather than the scenario's xp
