Okay, this mod is pretty dead. I did try working the files for a while with no luck and frankly I don't know what's wrong. My alternate buildings fix worked in limited fashion, but I'm just not enthusiastic about going through all the work involved there if, in the end, some factions entirely fail to function.
I'll probably return, but it's a matter of 'next year' or 'when TWWH3 comes out' not 'sometime in the next couple months.' Sorry, everyone.:solazzz:

I'm actually already back, just there's been some weird issues with the Empire. I've lost the ability to recruit them on my dev build and as recruiter they're still difficult. I might put them off for a while. Going to investigate some other things as well.

Do you know when you will be back working on it if it all?
Would be great if i could play as the old world factions (beside the dwarfs) and get to command other units.

@ddpaule, I'm not sure since I haven't played in a while. If your faction is on the list that can recruit (helf, dwf, skv, delf) and the high elves don't show up in recruitment at all *in their capital*, it's a bug with the mod. CtC wasn't super stable when I was working on it so it's not that surprising.
I'll be back to keep working on this stuff eventually, as I've said. I get the feeling it won't be more than a month or so. Could be sooner. We'll see :claudeheart:

Does this still work? I'm in mortal empires and I can't seem to recruit high elves. My only real reason is so I can make high elves slaughter high elves like some sadistic bastard.

the thing is for the empire of man they hunt down and kill nercromancers and frown on the use of undead. the only one known for the lore of death is the electer count of wiselnad the countess of nuln herself she is the only one known to use the lore of death.

i think he has to do a separate ine for tomb kings as they are a payed dlc faction... a dlc i'l never get cus there playstyle does not fit me in the slightest. I'm all for a mod like this for TK but i pray he does one seperatly tho cus i suspect that if he ads TK to this one then this mod wil require TK DLC.

@Bloberville, I don't know, actually. I'd guess not, but I didn't really think about it so much when I got this running. Greenskins as a faction can't recruit just now either way, but maybe the Skaven could, for instance.

Does this mod work with faction unlocker? So, for example, if you are playing as one of the minor greenskins would you still be able to recruit at capitals?

It is possible to recruit forest spirits in avelorn colour variant as High Elves? I mean this variant will be more loreful to recruit form Gean Valey unique forest spirits (pink ones).

Okay, the Empire still isn't working. What the heck. I'm going to try and change something with the Empire each time I patch in a new race or what-have-you, but I really have *no idea* what's causing them to not be able to recruit - sorry for the inconvenience :Ava:. Haven't put down the legwork (basically at all) yet for building requirements but looking into them next.

@AegonTargaryen, known issue. Working on that, got my testing campaign and all... not incredibly inspired rn and still unsure of the exact cause. I'm probably missing something obvious. Sorry for the error, I'll update desc until this is fixed.

I can't recruit foreing units in Empire campaing. I've conquered Lothern and Karaz a karak and still no units elven of dwarven units to recruit. Any help?

@Solx VC isn't a recruiting faction in this mod yet. After I see about fixing the Empire I'll get to that. You do need the race's capital.

I am playing Vampire Counts- Von Carstiens and I am only seeing what is available from Foreign Req 2.

@Kiruna I hope so, at least. Uh, for the record, you might want to try Foreign Recruitment II, it's much older than this mod and has more factions, though some don't seem to work at all (like for me, the Greenskins) so this mod was created as a personal equivalent, then released before ready because of a friend's request.

Supprising that no one else has been willing to make this kind of mod. Seems really fun though.

I have tried it and it worked fine to recruit VC and empire soldiers as Nagarythe. However only a small selection of units, since I cant build the required buildings for many of them, such es gunsmith of reliquary.

When you get this mod in order its gonna be a major hit, you know. People will flock to this mod.

Wait hold on ere... so this means i can get Grail knights in my Empire army? That would be really super cool. I guess i have to take over Karaz-a-Karak to get Dwarf units then i take it, I suppose Karak Ziflin won't do right?

I´m a very big fan of this kind of mod and I really appreciate the there is finally someone whose trying to do it right. A the moment I´m playing with the empire and I´ve captured Caste Drakenhof but I still can´t recruit any undead units. What am I doing wrong?

Empire @Zerithos, mostly after capturing Karaz-a-Karak. I have like a LOT of other mods though, so I'll try to get around later to testing it alone and see if there's something overwriting yours.

Hmm. Exactly which building are we meant to recruit from? I finally captured Karaz-a-Karak but not sure which building chain is supposed to allow me to recruit dwarven units.

@Tsww Heev Ntaj, Sure, at some point. I don't have that DLC along with Wood Elves and Beastmen, so it'll be some time and I won't be able to test it.
@Livgardet, Actually, reconsidered. No real reason not to have the Sisters around in this mod. I'll get around to it at some point.

is sisters of Avalorn Recruitable once Lothern is captured? in "Foreign Recruitment 2" it cant recruit them even though the pre-requisted building to recruit them exist in Lothern before it was Captured. Please tell me we can recruit them once we capture Lothern. These Girls have firepower of a unit of Handgunners yet the Reload rate of Archers, I wish to recruit Sisters of Avalorn as Empire...

Just a quick report to say Black crag has indeed been fixed! amazing stuff. I'm a bit sad once I got there that wolf rider archers weren't included but its a great mod and they're probably my own private fetish. As for compatibility i'm running lots of mods and it works great so thankyou for your work.. :)

In averlorn itd not the main settlements but the gates with the curious garrison. The Phoenix gate and such. That is from a save game so the mod as a whole is save compatible though I am not sure which buildings in the capital gives units. I am running Radious among other things. If I get a chance I'll run a no mod game with just your mod to see if theres any other incompatibilities but tbh usually when there is an incompatibility the game simply doesn't load which it does load.

I *know* the mod is save compatible, it works on all of my old saves. It shouldn't be adding garrison units. Will look into it.

Karak Eight Peaks has nothing for empire to recruit dwarfs either.

I suspect it's possibly not save compatible. I do know the mod works for Averlorn at least, interestingly some of the garrison units of my settlements are non elf which is weird but at least it confirms it works in ME. Need to capture another settlement in that campaign to try it out.
