Same, the faction also seems to work on 1.5. I'm about 2 years into a run and haven't had any problems as of yet.

Hello, in 1.3, your armor had 100% poison resistance and my colonists who wear it would not be affected by the radiation of rim-atonomic. However, in 1.4, your armor cant prevent my colonists from being hurt by poison, what should i do to recover the poison-resistance?

Just a warning for anyone else disable the contractor faction in world-gen unless you want to get raids that are overwhelmingly for mid-tier colonies to handle unless you have enough allies to throw into the slaughter, I got raided by the mods factions at about 100k colony wealth came at me with 25 guys and 23 of them were in full contractor gear, if was only through sheer luck and sending every single allied factions men at them that "I" won.

My colony wealth almost tripled after that, just from the contractors gear alone as I burnt all the gear from the valorous dead allied faction members that laid down their lives to keep me safe from overwhelming odds. Totally not meat shields to make the enemy waste all their ammo killing them.

Quite unplayable. You get a raid with 6 fully armored guys around 35 RHA with guns after 10 man tribal raid.

@ZeroPhoenix sorry if i came off a little heated, just early game it seems to be an issue because every raider has the modded weapons early on so the specific faction raids can be pretty deadly. I didnt have a killbox or traps setup yet so i got shredded. idk if i just had back luck or what

@Withy I don't recall others having this problem before, I guess it's worth bearing in mind this mod is quite old, I'm barely maintaining it and I don't actually play with it. I'll look into fixing it.

the faction does not scale with wealth correctly in raids. I have 4 colonists with low wealth and im getting raided by 6 people with end game weapons and all flak gear on bloodlust. instead of just releasing a factionless version of the mod consider making the raids scale with wealth so its actually enjoyable playing with the faction enabled. if i wanted insanely hard raids then i would just turn up threat scale.

It would be really awesome if this mod had any type of integration with VFE Pirates so you could hire this faction as mercs, at the end of the day I think money would talk louder to these mercs.

A bunch of pawns started spawning with all sorts of physical deficiencies (bad back, heart defects etc). It went back to normal when i removed this mod. I don't know which mod might have caused it or why it happend, but i figured i'd let you know. Let me know if you need logs or something

I'll get around to it but you can do that with this version by just disabling the faction on world generation, but yeah imperfect solution so I'll get to it probably tomorrow

ZeroPhoenix, I know you're busy but I just want to tell you I feel it'd be an absolute travesty if this doesn't get maintained. Not only my favorite spacer armor/weapons on the workshop, but my favorite faction mod too. Blackwater/Murkywater raids always come absolutely loaded for bear and always give me a butt pucker no other faction does.

Top tier work my friend. Hopefully it gets passed off to be continued if you're no longer interested.

Prestige variant would be nice, or maybe a more expensive version with a built in flamethrower or grenade launcher, I feel like a space mercenary would wanna be prepared for everything so it would make sense they'd have some utility module on their armor.

Hey ZP, I noticed when starting a new game there was a faction w null leader error popping up. I tracked it down to this mod.

It seems you have a pawn kind designated as "faction leader" but you never added it to the pawn generator in the faction def.

Adding
<Contractor_CEO>5</Contractor_CEO> to the Combat kind def
and
<Contractor_CEO>10</Contractor_CEO> to the Settlement kind def

should fix this error. Hope it helps.
