I'm sorry, Mr_Cee, but I can't really do anything about the slight transparency. I really made the overlay as a guide and then cropped the image later.

A possible solution, however, would be to put black bars from this workshop submission behind the black side bars to make it completely black.

Oddly enough, even when I put the transparency to 254, the black side bars are still a bit transparent and not completely black. Any help?

4:3 ratio is not included. It's just there as an example.

You should make overlay with guideline like: rule of third, golden spiral/ratio, triangle, etc. Like the ones in Photoshop's crop options.
