Ok, so. I have tested the defense shields against the Vengeance drone from the Corruption mod. Its main weapon is capable of doing heavy damage to the shields (it took em down to 15% for me). My shield strength was, at the time, 120,000,000 to 140,000,000. The Energy Shields can hardly take damage from kenetic weapons for long. If you like you and I can test out our theories using our own ships.

ive tested the 2 types against each other and they last quite well but to be sure i would test it urself just in case, if that helps ur question also try it against other types of ships and give me some feed back so i can improve how long it lasts in a large scale ship battel if u want of couse

I have a really good question for you. With using the two sheild tech, how well does it do with the huge power draw? How well does it do in a large scale combat sortie?
