You don't need plastic leather, you can use plant-based leather or plain old fabric.
finally a car manufacturer that not using dog for a test drive or horse powered engine
Lordwarblade Mar 25, 2024 @ 6:51pm
Haha, I've tried this in-game now. It used glass, metals, plastics AND Animal Products.
Lordwarblade Mar 23, 2024 @ 9:40pm
@Spectreblitz: Leather seats would use animal products, and I'm sure that the animals would notice if that bit was taken from them. lMfao. This version must make plastic seats for people who like having a sweaty bum. :steamhappy:
Spectreblitz Sep 17, 2023 @ 5:56am
there is no such thing as a vegan car.... cars don't use animal products lmfao

BierPizzaChips Feb 19, 2022 @ 2:50am
So this requires metal and plastic? Interesting idea. May have to be placed between Ore- and Oil-Industry. I shall give this a try.

Vegan? I downdloaded it just to set it on fire in game :)

I have essentially abandoned the unique factory assets in terms of modding and updating because yeah. I still lurk in the comments just to interact with the community. Also, I did not make the building I literally copy pasted the building from the vanilla car factory.
Mayor  [author] Apr 16, 2019 @ 3:28pm
@KPODBOT I was unaware of the plastic stuff until now. If you could post a link to your sources I'd love and live. I am also uninterested in what most vegans do. I think that if vegans for the most part are doing something, I wouldn't worry too much about it and I would focus on what individuals do and then judge their character from their actions. This *should* apply to most groups of people. I personally think Individualism is cool beans.
KPODBOT Apr 16, 2019 @ 6:59am
Just to let you know almost 99% of plastics used in this world contain animal products and 100% of cars contain plastics that used animal products so its a car factory you just put vegan there because you like most vegans and wanna make something of it
just saying.
tigercell Apr 13, 2019 @ 2:57pm
Thank you for making this!
Doug Feb 18, 2019 @ 5:25pm
It uses plants instead of meat.
pdelmo Jan 13, 2019 @ 11:27pm
So no leather seats!!
Madisonian Dec 24, 2018 @ 12:34am
I figured out how to change the resource input. Use ModTools by bloodypenguin (requires a game restart), In Asset Editor, open Scene Explorer (Control+E), on the left side go to Tool Controller > Tool Controller, and on the right side go to the first Prefab AI button, then go to BuildingAI, and there are 4 options for resources. The 8 new types are at the bottom of the scroll list.

?
Mayor  [author] Dec 7, 2018 @ 8:32am
I haven't found a way to change the type's of inputs. The way I made the vegan factories was by setting the animal product input to 0, there is no way to find out which one is the animal product input so I spent a lot of time with trial and error to find the right setting. Sorry I coulden't answer your question but I hope something that I said was useful to you in some way.
Madisonian Dec 7, 2018 @ 1:24am
How do you change the required resources a Unique Factory needs in Asset Editor? I'm not seeing any option to change the resource, just the input/output rate – I'm trying to do a seafood factory that requires animal products, metals, crops and paper.

Order Taker: Hello welcome to Vegan Dan's can I take your order? Customer: Yes I want the number 2 with the plastic interior. Order Taker: Uh... We don't serve cars. Manager: The customer is always right, let him have your car or you are fired!
Lochranza Nov 25, 2018 @ 12:34pm
Bravo.
Mayor  [author] Nov 21, 2018 @ 10:58am
Yes.
bsavello Nov 17, 2018 @ 5:44pm
Leather interior. Am I wrong? Is leather not an animal product?
Amayasnep Nov 17, 2018 @ 4:07pm
To be fair, most vehicles don't use any animal products to begin with. Just look at the BMW i3 or Toyota Prius.
Mayor  [author] Nov 17, 2018 @ 3:47pm
Kozad thank you for the sub! I don't want to get too far into activism, but when you see the scary face of the meat industry you do become sensitive around the exploitation of animals regardless of the platform. I made this mod with the sole purpose to give people who see using animal products in the car factory unnecessary an alternative. :steamhappy:
kozad Nov 17, 2018 @ 1:30pm
Eh, I'll sub just to double dip on some factories, but man, y'all sensitive af. Even virtual meat is the great satan. :steamfacepalm:
IntelCeleron Nov 17, 2018 @ 8:04am
jope that works, the insane amount of animal products that It needs información vanilla versiones IS killing me
jason Nov 17, 2018 @ 3:56am
You're kidding me aren't you? hahaha
Splifsend Nov 16, 2018 @ 6:13pm
People don't eat cars !!
PukeOnGames Nov 16, 2018 @ 1:50pm
For the soyboys!
Mayor  [author] Nov 16, 2018 @ 6:06am
The vanilla factory requires animal products for leather (I guess), I modded that out and replaced the demand for animal products for demand for plastics.
MisterMotel Nov 16, 2018 @ 6:04am
How can a car factory be vegan?
