I would like to do more with Durthu, Treemen in general. Realm specific variations from with Athel Loren like in the army books. Wood Elves are my favorite faction.

Just got back home today. While those are interesting ideas, I prefer to work within the framework of the Warhammer storyline so alternate versions of Orion like gray or demonic doesn't motivate or appeal to me.

The Wood Elf season mod is already incorporated into SFO. Once I get the scripting side of things worked out, I assume it will slot right in.

Still workin on it man! I have to go back to work in a few days, but I'm intent on getting all the texture work done before then, so when I get back, I'll just have to do the scripting side of the mod.

Just trying to get the look right for his Spring variation. Decided I'll have his vanilla skin be his Summer variation (with some minor changes). There's a few concept art images of him out there with greenish skin, thought that is more fitting for Spring, looking like his fellow Wild Riders.

Well then, with your comment and a few others, I can now consider there to be general interest in an Orion with seasonal changes. I will look to make that mod happen. But I've got a UI mod to put out, 2 more graphical ones, and then I'll work on those seasons. I'll also be gone from home for the next 2 weeks, so it's going to be a while off, but IT WILL BE DONE!

Man if you managed to work with Zarkis on combining your Orion mods that would be epic. Even if doesn't happen this is still a fantastic reskin that I'm most likely going to use whenever I play Orion.

+1 for the SFO season variation mod. I think that if you ask to Zarkis he'll surely help you with the script.

@GunKing The SFO seasons operate on a 6 turn timer, starting in spring. It wouldn't be super hard to make a script which would operate the same way.

Somehow, it makes him look more like Mr. Gibson

I do not possess that level of table editing prowess. I would definitely do a Summer version (Spring is his vanilla appearance) of him though if someone figured out how to tie his appearance changes to that Wood Elf season mod that's in SFO.

That would require me to download WH1 again to upload it... and I'm not that committed lol. BUT, it is easily doable to port this mod to WH1, just copy the .pack file and paste it in WH1's data folder, and it should show up as mod in the launcher. This mod's pack file is called gunking_autumn_orion. Give it a search under steamapps>workshop>content> and then whatever folder your WH2 mods are stored in (should be a series of numbers, like 594570).

Thank you so much for sharing this! I've been trying to find the Orion Trilogy 1 at a time and it's been a struggle (still haven't found all three for a manageable price) so this is just phenomenal. And I totally agree, there aren't nearly enough WE books. If you've not read Defenders of the Forest yet it is great and I highly recommend it.

They never did release that many Wood Elf centric books back in the day, sadly.

Not at the moment. Winter Orion would be a little more difficult to pull off since he would technically be dead, but if one were to do that I imagine his winter self would be very pale, and his leaves would either be black or barren. Spring Orion is already in-game, Summer Orion is possible, the Wood Elf TT rulebooks had seasonal variations of their units and the Spring/Summer varieties always looked very similar, I think for Summer the greens would be brighter. But I wouldn't bother with that reskin unless there was a huge want for it, or someone figured out how to tie it into the SFO season mod.

Thanks man! Yeah I wish for that too. That being said, I'm sure it is possible to do some sort of thing where Orion changes appearance, there's a mod for Hellebron after all that has her various gradations of youth. I imagine the wizards of the SFO team could do something similar for Wood Elves were they so inclined.
