Thank you for light version. I was a little annoyed that my character could see in the dark with the night vision gene, but I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ couldn't.

Will it be updated to 1.6? Everyday without this mod is like hell.

This is great, just what I needed. The base darkness mod achieves immersion, but I also can't see almost anything myself at night. This lets me enjoy the darker atmosphere without squinting constantly.

How is this mod compared to Lighting and Weather Graphics?

Man, I still find this to be too dark (especially for content creation with variable viewers displays). Is there an even lighter version? Or maybe a possibility to configure the brightness in options? I love the homey feel of it when everything is lit up later in a game but early on it's just not usable. ;(

I'm switching to this one because I realized I kept fiddling with my screen brightness and... well I guess realistic darkness is a bit TOO dark if I can't see either. :P

This is going to be quite the ask, but what if the amount of darkness was based on the biome's tree spawn rate. I live in a forest and it gets dark, but I know a grass field doesn’t nearly as much, and an ice sheet would sometimes be brighter based on season, it would be mod compatible if there was some spawn rate number, cuz obviously counting trees is a bad idea

I loved the original idea but the mod I had originally installed made it so dark I couldn't do *anything* for half the day.
This is a nice middle ground.

This mod seems to not to play well with a 'sun blocking' event.

For some reason braziers seem way brighter than all other lights in my game. Is there a way to fix that?

This is great! however I still can't see as much as I'd be comfortable with at night. I couldn't find this mod anywhere in the settings and was shocked it must because there is none. It would be fabulous if we could edit the darkness amount even slightly. Or even just a disable/enable setting. I don't want to close and reopen my game right. Regardless I love the way it looks and I hope someday I can tweak it to be compatible with my bad eyes.

I actually appreciate this, because in the OG realistic darkness mod, I can't plan anything for the pawns to do cuz I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING, which leads to nights being disengaging and boring af (which, tbf, might've been the point but idk).

great mod, is there a version without dusk? having everything suddenly turn purple does not seem very realistic

Is it normal for eclipses to be brighter than at night?

I'm going through this on a tundra map, and every time there's an eclipse it's a lot clearer.

The statuses remain the same, for example (0%) vision and all that, only a lot clearer than it should be.

This literally makes the game look amazing and lights fun to use. Should be in vanilla.

@Wemd о ты русский). Да я снес ♥♥♥♥♥ этот rimthreaded там исключения с хештаблицей, видимо он в ней потоки хранит и при обращении по ключу ♥♥♥♥♥♥ не выдает. Я просто подумал вдруг тут какой то сложный алгоритм а он его по ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ параллелит. Попробовал большую часть модов вырубить, все равно ему что то не нравится, ну и ♥♥♥ с ним)

Не знаю, первый раз слышу про RimThreaded, так что ничего сказать не могу

Вообще Realistic Darkness, это маленький патч, который только только подменяет цвета, так что с вероятностью в 98% он ни с чем конфликтовать не должен

Can this mod initiate any problems with RimThreaded?

@Strakarix can you do that patch for the dark version of this mod too? I cant stand the pink/purple hue.

Can you make a version where nights are darker than this light version but a lil more lighter than the dark version of these mods? Rn nights are too light in this version and is too dark in the other version :/

Did you changed dusk colour to less purple?
