Maybe a bit late, but wanted to say thanks so much for working on the mod, wolfgar. I can see them now in survival mode, too. I see you had to compromise apparently and put them under stone house research. Sorry about that, as I assume you would have preferred to have them under their own research as before. Nevertheless, it works now so thanks so much for all the attention to this mod and all your others ! :steamhappy:

I just found the problem, I had them in the incorrect research area. they needed to be in civilian stone walls which unlock civilian gates and the palisades needed to be in military stone works not gates. Odd how they made that but this should fix it coming up soon.

ok in game there is no research that has stone gates and palisade gates. It has stone works and Military stone works. So I will just add these to something else I guess. I am not seeing them in research now either.

i added another mod with the old research in with this mod and that mods research worked correctly. I also checked other peoples research and it is the same way. I honestly think it is a bug because this mod used to show up in research just fine. I am gonna put it back for now.

I've also just found that leaving the subtype as "MilitaryPalisadesGate" and changing the xsi:type on the line above to "ResearchNodeDefinition" also causes it to reappear. I'm afraid I don't know much about how the research definitions work so I'm not sure if that's a better solution.

Hi wolfgar, I think the problem might be with the ResearchDefinition subtype attribute. I changed it from "MilitaryPalisadesGate" to "MilitaryPalisades" and the gates then show up in survival.

For now I'll use the workaround by placing the items in creative. But if you ever find the cause and solution, I'd appreciate it.

Hey wolfgar, same here I guess. I can see the research document in the required field for the gates, but there does not seem to be any research category available to unlock them. Single player, survival for me.

I will see if I can find some clues from other mods. I tried one things apparently that didnt work. Only other thing I can suggest is that you place them in creative then switch back to survival for now sorry again for the inconvenience.

Okay I tried the following things, trying to rule out some possible obvious issues. Verified file integrity of ME, didn't work. Redownloaded the mod, didn't work. Reinstalled ME in a completely different location, didn't work either. So as of now I'm out of clues :\

The weird thing is everything worked fine until the last ME update. Since that update I cannot see it anymore. I'll be trying it on the older build, to see if it works there.

hmm I dont understand what is going on. must be something to do with the research and this isnt the first time I have heard of this problem. Seems to work for me but not the player.

It still appears it's not working for me. It shows in creative, but in survival it's not showing in the menu.

Update! Attempted a change hope it works and then I also hope it doesnt work. Means all my mods will need this update :(

I've tried a couple of things:

-Creative world with just this mod ->The gates appear in the menu.
-Survival world with just this mod (and all available research) -> The gates do not appear in the menu.

I don't think I can see the 'CivilianStoneGates' in survival, or can't it be researched? Screenshot attached with required research I cannot see in survival.

I don't see them in the menu anymore. I've enabled it in the settings, but I don't see any of the gates appear, even after the required research.

what do you mean yo dont see them anymore? in the menu or the place you placed them I had to redo a couple models with better gate reaction and placement compounding so you might need to place them again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Update- now gates are paintable fixed gatewall which might need replacing now sorry.

I used the Unique KingStatue Research which was a example also and it always worked in .6 so i guess i probably have a lot of mods to update

Wolfgar, in Research.sbc it should be "ResearchNodeDefinition", not "ResearchDefinition". After changing this in two places, it works. THX for great work!

I will eventually add the generated blocks. For now they are game ready so i wanted to get them out there.
