I really want a Jón Sigurðsson. He is the biggest icon of icelandic history. You'd have to make some stuff up, because he was the facilitator of Iceland's independence but he was gone long before it happened. But he's still commonly called Jón president.

Iceland was part of Denmark for ages.... so we were ruled by several different ones... Christian X was the last one before we declared independence... and also the one that was our king after we became autonomous ( which may be the technical period the author of this is referring to, Iceland having him as it's king) But Cristian X most certainly wasn't "of Iceland"

He was the sole and legally distinct king of Iceland too.
