...just looked at my walkthrough and realised I "Didn't use the angled panel" either so guess my solution is unintended also.

You must have fixed all of the stuff, because I had to open the funnel and I used the orange funnel.

You don't have to open the fizzler at all, just walk over to the end part, position the cube in front of the button behind the grating, walk back, win

Dude is broken, you can just use funnel at the beggining to push cube to the button for the exit.
I'm gonna delete this comment when it's fixed.
