I am not sure I can set different swords for Hastati without editing DeIs units.

I'd say cruddy swords for Hastati, because were lower class and couldn't afford quality gear. Principes, Triarii and Equites were all wealthy enough to afford nice gear, so shiny blades for them. And if any other units use the gladius: cruddy ones for the cannon fodder, and clean ones for the elites.

[NEWS] I have updated my old gladius with much better texures and editing, now it could stand in for a rough, wornmaybe poorly crafted sword of the common footsolider. It still looks good though :)

Ok, beause I tried that, and I did not work before I tracked all the old DeI part down and used them. Have you noticed that alongside MY sword there sometimes is the old modified vanilla gladius? I can simply don't know where it is coming from, but I will find out. Also I will begin wok on having at least 3-4 difference swords for the Romans,maybe more, later all that are different in DeI will be different in my mod.
