I was low level with three people running across the bonefields to try and make it to Catun, when I started getting chased by a group of 50 hungry bandits, as I rounded through the giant iron piece outside of the city, the Hyrda came out the otherside and killed one of my guys instantly and starting chasing the other two. Another companion died, limbs exploding off of him.Then he turned on the bandits and starting tearing them apart as I ran to the gates, the guards sprinting past me. The city fought the hydra until night, most of the guards losing limbs/life, before the hydra ran off into the distance bleeding out from too many harpoon shots and sure to die.. absolutely cinema

Found this thing twice before I was ready. Tore apart my bodyguard squad I'd hired but they gave us the tiny window to escape before they died. Second time was at night so it didn't see us.

Now I'm actively hunting for it to "test our might" but cannot for the life of me find it. Re-imported a dozen times with the revive NPCs option and scoured the bonefields like a madman without seeing anything.

Can you tame it with mod?

How strong is this thing? Got a recommendation to take it on with my current squad after beating a souped up version of Cat-lon that had stats in the 200s

Jorahm, there is a Cerberus dog mod already, THOUGH it's a common Bonedog size Two-headed goodest boi :)

Why is the mod file called Hydra and Cerberus? Was there originally going to be another creature addition that was a multi-headed bonedog?

I have seen European flying dragons in Union City to the north.

Can you make this flying dragon.

Just took one down in Catun, after it slaughtered most of the town. What exactly do it's drops do? The carapace and Heads have charges, but I'm not sure if they're used for something or just should be sold.

this thing killed everyone in mourn and does 600 damage even to high level characters. it's a cool monster but completely OP and unmanageable lol.

My in-game day is 170 and I finally made it to Bonefields. Cannot find this thing.

Searched across East-West in southern portion but only standard beak things, skin spiders, bonedogs and leviathans. Is there a specific zone or common area within the Bonefields I should be looking? I know mod desc. states the southern land but I am not sure where it is.

Or is it possible to load it back in without having to respawn every NPC I've ever dealt with?

the AI package is set for it to wander only 1 region. Any further wandering is kind of a loophole from the aggressive behaviour AI overruling AI package behaviour.

And as of now, that was my only encounter... But increasing its spawn rate might just make the bonefields impossible to traverse.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥... what was even worse, I didn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ notice it, because another character was shopping in the waystation, suddenly the characters of my main squad light up. I pan over and holy ♥♥♥♥ that thing was massive.

I used my tankiest character, the ghoul, to taunt it away, but the hydra was locked in its attack animation on my weaker support squad that stood there, stacked like idiots. Tried to move them away: BAM. While running Dimak dies, hit on the head, 300 damage because it passed coverage...

Afterwards it took my ghoul apart, 100 dmg per hit, which wasn't so bad with 400 HP per limb. But it just never stops attacking... And that was it. I loaded the earlier save, fully prepared to fight that thing again, dropping backpacks on the ground, changing armor and ♥♥♥♥, but it never loaded back in...... Feelsbadman.

@josuamarques Shem huh!? That is a very rare wandering RNG right there. Your playthrough must have a lot of hours. The AI is designed to prefer bonefield, but if long enough time pass it can be driven by its preys along the map.
The beast is pretty "realistic" in its own way, there is no NPC or character that should be able to beat it in a 1v1 head-on fight. That is why you need a fortified base to shoot it down or tons of archers.

That thing just straight up demolished my mod crew. Mist Ghouls with 140 toughness and masterwork crab armor get absolutely destroyed. I wasn't even in the Bonefields, but Shem, what the hell.

Like, its cool and all, but absolutely impossible to fight unless you cheese it with ranged weapons. Although, having enemies almost impossible to beat is fun in its own way.

Is the mode name Hydra and Kerberos? Is Kerberos somewhere?

this mod is so epic and awesome! the hydra is ridiculously powerful and I love it. get out your masterful eagles crossbows and tank with max dodgers (you're not gonna block it).

This thing spawned right beside Catun! as I was shopping!
So I put my snipers on the walls and put the rest of my units on turrets. No casualties!

I got this mod through a pack so I didn't even know to watch out for the Hydra before my first encounter. Thank Okran that you included a warning dialogue from Beep, or I never would have escaped in time! I didn't see anyone else mention it so I wanted you to know I appreciate that little detail. It'll be a long time before I actually feel brave enough to fight the Hydra!

Elder Beak things were terrifying enough with their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 35mph land speed.


But on a serious note, it's good to have end game creatures around so the game doesn't stagnate, especially since Leviathans weren't the horrifying presence they were meant to be. (I mean, you can literally shoot it to death and it will stand there and watch until it bleeds to death

If you are patient enough you can "kite" it anywhere. But you will need a real fast runner for that.

after i tried again i managed to brought it down with my army though i suffered 13 casualties this thing is just wow the damage man is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bonkers this is a nice scary mod. My only complaint is that i cant carry this thing cause i want to unleash it in the great desert for fun haha
