How did you go about extracting the map? Pawn Troop and I are wanting to extract maps, but everything that we have tried is not working.

@Stubbz. Some portions of the map are urban, some rural, some present gritty street fights and others longer range encounters. If its cramping vision due to building height, ? Just have more fun, blow the buiildings and level them to see better.... ;)

Its a good map but the victory points are really cramped and make it hard to see whats going on while you are fighting

@MagnusEffect gday mate, the bridge was a ♥♥♥♥♥ and took a long time to make passable. Units will cross it, just keep an eye on them. Its a pity the game limits bridges so that nothing can pass beneath it, hence having to place water there when you don't really want to, for the sake of realism

@tymthelionking Gday again. Can only change the weather in the worldbuilder and then upload the updated map again. Atm playing with the weather settings from time to time. You might find the explosions and fires are spectacular at night. Day will return to the map at some point though, as it must...

@Nataku@怠惰です Gday. For higher pop cap you can change the win condition in the game options before you start. If you play the Battleground Europe tuning pack with normal win conditions then Battleground Europe gives you 230 pop limit by default. Hope that helps

There is now a snow version of this map. https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1537383693 The 'Towns of Carnage First Snows' version has several added lakes and some buildings added. The intention is to make both maps offer different experiences and not just because of the weather.

@A Lost Infidel Yes it is large, ok, massive. To compensate there are other map entry points available to you once you take the relevant capture point. Most of the roads entering from off map are entry points for reinforcements so just place the entry marker for whichever building it is closer to a map entry point. Also of course you can use ambulance trucks, hts or relevant buildings to reinforce. Also bare in mind that Battleground Europe allows you to build forward HQs in occupied buildings (aka COH1) and you can reinforce and repair from them. Hope you enjoy the carnage mate

@Otto Carius 150 + Sorry to hear it isn't working for you mate. The map is one of the largest for sure and I have spent so much time making sure it works. Large maps and amount of objects on them require memory and AI needs more memory than players do possibly because they never stop moving (even when it is to do the same stupid thing over and over). Then another memory hog is the amount of explosions occuring. Eventually there is either a win for one team or a last CTD as the last bit of memory is used up (and not refreshed due to lazy coh2 coding). The only way around is frequent restarts between matches.

For this map, it will always be the first one I play after a restart so the memory is ready. Try that if you will and if you are only playing with AI, just play against 2 experts before increasing it more. Hope that helps.

@Heimdall313 LOL. Similar things can be achieved here. There are ridgelines that are impassable, tank traps and wire can be used as needed to direct the poor enemy to where you want them.

So, I love the concept of the map, and if you get 7 other people to play cooperatively, it could be a good "fight for the road" map. My only schtick with it, is this damn thing is LARGE. Takes my infantry a good five minutes to get to the fray some times. That's my only gripe bout it, though.

But I love 1 or 2 chokepoints, how else does one get 1700% efficiency with machine guns and AT guns with inane killcount via katyusha, howitzers and mortars over the course of a grueling 2.5 hour enchrenched bloodbath before flooding forth with like 2 dozen tanks?

@Dog Turds you are very welcome mate. The fine tuning takes days. We use the map for Battleground Europe games frequently, the map has something to suit just about any tactics except it does not have 1 or 2 chokepoints (hate those maps). The interesting thing also is that in 631 subscribers there have only been 3 votes. When people go to the trouble of investing days of their life making these maps (whether they turn out good or not so) they should have more recognition for sure.
