@JeanySushiBox
Assuming you have a method to plant them then yes that should be possibly. You'll need something like my Simply Soil mod that allows you to put down soil floors or a mod to allow more plants in Hydroponics.
JeanySushiBox 19 jul om 21:21
does that mean we cna put those orange tres in the gravship?
FrozenSnowFox  [auteur] 16 jul om 22:52
@喜啼宝马
Providing you can actually find a way to plant them within the gravship it should be possible. I think you'll need a mod that allows you to put down soil floors like my Simply Soil or a mod that allows you to grow them in hydroponics.
喜啼宝马 16 jul om 22:48
Can trees be planted on the gravship?
FrozenSnowFox  [auteur] 16 jul om 20:28
@Magic_zak
I can't remember the last time I tried that but it should.
Magic_zak 16 jul om 20:27
does this allow for guerilan trees to be inside.

The greatest mod of RW.
FrozenSnowFox  [auteur] 9 feb om 19:30
@Pylo1408
I very much doubt this mod could cause any issues and I've never encountered that problem myself. In my experience the Harbinger trees reproduce once you've fed them a certain amount.
Pylo1408 9 feb om 19:19
Hello. Just installed this mod along with a couple of others and my Harbinger trees seem to have stopped reproducing. I haven't had much time to try and debug it yet. I just wanted to check if this was some kind of know issue.
FrozenSnowFox  [auteur] 7 feb om 18:26
@benji
Yes, but you'll need suitable terrain for planting which this mod does not include.
sonicbre 7 feb om 18:25
Does it work growing under mountains?
FrozenSnowFox  [auteur] 26 dec 2024 om 13:16
@ggfirst
Yes, as per the description it allows all plants to be planted regardless of biome. When including mods that sometimes leads to a bit of weird things. The version of this mod in my tweaks collection has more customisation as it has toggles for each of the three options. Adding settings for this mod is on my to do list but its very low priority so I haven't gotten around to it.
ggfirst 26 dec 2024 om 8:00
I think this mod makes every type of plants plantable everywhre.
VE ideology Dryad - Ambroisan Palm Tree is even farmable.
I really love idea of this mod though )(

@HerpDerpy

Could you tell me which flowers you are planting? It sounds like you use flowers, taht are recognized as grass (not clickable in the wild). Since I play with ReGrowth Core and Medieval Overhaul, I can do some tests and get back to you.

@FrozenSnowFox

Thank you for updating this and all teh other awesome mods<3
I love my indoor gardens but teh last Rimworld update completed busted my mod setup and I haven't gotten back it RW for a few months now.
FrozenSnowFox  [auteur] 14 jul 2024 om 21:18
@HerpDerpy
As far as I can tell render order isn't listed on plants anywhere, so its most likely hardcoded. That being the case it's outside of my skill set. Regrowth Core has an option when it comes to how trees render with stuff behind them so that could potentially fix the issue you're describing.
HerpDerpy 14 jul 2024 om 16:49
Im not sure if this is something you would be able to fix, but would it be possible to change the order in which trees and flower layers are rendered?

When you plant flowers around a tree, the flowers are always rendered in front of the tree no mater where the flowers are. Usually this bug wouldn't be an issue as flowers cant be planted or grow around trees in vanilla, but it is an issue when using this mod.

So for example, if you place a flower growing zone on the square that is directly behind a tree (basically right where all the leaves of the tree are) then the flower will render over top of the tree, even thought it should be behind it. This is the case no matter where the flowers are around the tree.

However, its only flowers that render this way from what I can tell. Since crops or other plants properly render behind trees.

Thank you for taking a look at adding the settings for this mod.
I looked at your Tweaks mod, and there's a lotta' stuff there!
FrozenSnowFox  [auteur] 29 feb 2024 om 16:43
@Steve
This mod is included in my tweaks collection and in that it's split into individual options. I'll make a note to look into adding settings for this at a later date but it'll require Xml Extensions.
TacocaT 29 feb 2024 om 14:30
please give this an options dialog so we can enable and disable parts of it. I just want my trees closer together and none of the other changes
Kalter Stahl 5 apr 2023 om 13:49
Excellent! I'm gonna go check it out.
FrozenSnowFox  [auteur] 3 apr 2023 om 1:30
As mentioned in the description this mod is included in my tweaks collection. Today I modified the tweak itself to be more modular so each component can be enabled individually. If you're after any sort of options and don't want to manually edit the patches then I suggest you use my tweaks collection instead.
Kalter Stahl 2 apr 2023 om 20:38
That sounds great, thanks for the consideration!
FrozenSnowFox  [auteur] 2 apr 2023 om 17:33
@Kalter Stahl
I replied to your thread, as mentioned that's correct, spacing doesn't matter its more just for visual clarity when editing. Adding options requires relying on some sort of framework mod since I can't code. I don't intend to do that for this mod however it's included in my tweaks collection. I'll make a note to revise the tweak and split everything into togglable options. It's come up a few times and its not a problem adding more options in the tweaks collection. I've already done this for a couple mods in the tweak collection so they're more customisable.
Kalter Stahl 2 apr 2023 om 12:25
Oh! You got instructions! I posted a thing in discussions about this, I hope you don't mind.
Also it took away the tab spaces D:
Kalter Stahl 2 apr 2023 om 8:48
Can we please get some options? I still want biome and adjacency restrictions...
Morale -10 20 feb 2023 om 4:41
it does not cut down the anima tree, awesome :lunar2019coolpig:
FrozenSnowFox  [auteur] 18 dec 2022 om 0:36
@Daniel14541
Trees aren't automatically cut down if you roof over them, so if that's happening you might have a mod doing it.
Daniel95818 18 dec 2022 om 0:34
Are trees cut down if a roof is placed over them still? Asking for an animal tree friend... >.> <.< ^.^
FrozenSnowFox  [auteur] 27 aug 2022 om 20:02
@不久
I'm afraid I can't code so the only settings menu I'd be able to make is one relying on another mod. However the mod is all simple xml patches and they're clearly labelled so you can simply open the file in notepad and edit it to your liking.
bujiu 27 aug 2022 om 19:56
Can you add custom Settings?
I don't want to see trees planted adjacent in the open air
Nanonoodle 18 jun 2022 om 12:00
Thanks you for this mod and telling us how to modify it so that it only changes indoor planting rules.
幽克斯汀Yokristen 12 sep 2021 om 23:58
I mean, logging doesn’t usually cut down all the trees,
If no trees are cut down during the construction process, I can only use "cut" to clean up other trees
However, in addition to cleaning the trees, "mowing" also cleans up a lot of grass, which will waste some time
FrozenSnowFox  [auteur] 12 sep 2021 om 21:34
@幽克斯汀Yokristen-
Sorry but it sounds like something might be getting lost in translation there as that doesn't quite make sense.

I think you're saying it would be an issue because trees would grow under roofing and thus need cutting when you want to build? Trees and plants in general do not tend to spawn under roofing even with this mod. Once an area is roofed over it should remain devoid of plants and trees if you get rid of them all.
幽克斯汀Yokristen 12 sep 2021 om 21:24
If the building needs to be cut to remove the trees, it will be very cumbersome (usually grass is cut most of the time)
FrozenSnowFox  [auteur] 12 sep 2021 om 21:23
@幽克斯汀Yokristen-
I imagine that could be done but it would require coding and it's not something I can do.
幽克斯汀Yokristen 12 sep 2021 om 21:21
Hello, this mod is great, but is it possible to design a tree planting area where only trees in the planting area can be planted indoors
FrozenSnowFox  [auteur] 9 sep 2021 om 13:42
@megabot
It's not very difficult and the patch is all neatly spaced out so you can tell what your editing. Open the file in notepad and delete the 2 remove <li> blocks related to sowing. Then delete the tags related to sowing from add <li> block.

megabot 9 sep 2021 om 13:36
I do not really know how to do that to be honest as i am not really a modder or know a lot/anything about it tbh
FrozenSnowFox  [auteur] 9 sep 2021 om 13:07
@megabot
I have no plans on doing something like that. You can however just edit the patch for this mod so it only does roofs. All that entails is deleting the other patch parts.
megabot 9 sep 2021 om 10:08
if i may requestr, could you by chance make a mod that simply allows us to sow trees under roofs? i do not want them to be packed, i just want to have them be growable in doors
Annabellee 3 sep 2021 om 21:10
each other
Annabellee 3 sep 2021 om 21:10
yea it looks good for I mainly use your mods so I can plant trees adjacent to each youth OCD after all
FrozenSnowFox  [auteur] 3 sep 2021 om 20:58
@oicher
Thanks for letting me know. I ended up throwing VGP in my game to check it and it worked as intended without issues so I think it should work fine for every mod now.
Annabellee 3 sep 2021 om 20:16
With base look every look good but winter so can’t plant
Annabellee 3 sep 2021 om 19:57
K thanks and I’ll check
FrozenSnowFox  [auteur] 3 sep 2021 om 19:56
I rewrote the patch for modifying the plants so it should now hopefully catch everything. Let me know if there's any issues in the game. It seems like it works fine from testing and it seemed to catch the vanilla expanded plants which previously needed a extra patch to function correctly.

@oicher
Can you unsubscribe and resubscribe to ensure the files update then check your game. I rewrote the patch so instead of manually adding patches it should catch everything. In my game it catches all vanilla trees and the vanilla expanded plants. The vanilla expanded plants previously needed its own custom patch to fix one of its issues but it works without that now.
