Hey Suresh, I'm sure there is. I never got around to polishing out the rest of the aesthetic kinks with the class. Maybe if I pick modding TL2 back up again I'll be able to figure it out.

A massive fan of Mass Effect myself (esp the multiplayer). I saw the biotic powers and tech armor/overload/medigel and was just blown away. You don't find many RPGs in the ilk of Diablo/Torchlight with a sci-fi twist. Always thought Mass Effect could fit that bill in some way. Really happy to see someone made that a reality (in another game that too!).

Just one small question, is there any way to add a portrait/picture for the class? Right now it shows a question mark in my selection screen.

Thanks Boarcas! I'm glad you're enjoying the class. I wish I had answers to your questions... I haven't touched this class in actual years, and I'd be super rusty trying to get back into it. So unfortunately, what you see is what you get. If by some stroke of inspiration I do get back into modding this class again, that'll be the first thing I look in to.

and yes Suresh, it is based on Mass Effect! One of my favorite games!

Thorougly enjoying this class. A few questions though; does a filled up charge bar give any benefits? and there is the passive skill medicinal gel, which gives hp if you use a skill that uses charge. However, as far i can see there are only 2(!) skills that use charge, and a few that add charge. A few hours in this seems way to little to be viable. And those 2 particular skills i don't fancy to much either... Anyway, just some feedback :)

I've subbed to this and I've tried to resub and all of that but when I look in my mods directory or when I try to load my 10 mods, there are no files. what is this thing downloading when I sub to it?

It's only going to be updated whenever I get the time, which I will say is going to be less than infrequent. As for the beam, I could just take out the knockback all together, but I do like the fact that it allows you to create some distance from oppponents (keeping them out of melee range). It wasn't that way on purpose, but I consider it a happy accident.

Oh wow, this is being updated!? Whoo! That's great to hear, it really is. I enjoyed the class, so glad to see it fixed.

What needs to be fixed, I still feel like the shotgun beam skill is a bit...odd. The beam is short, and shotgun knockback pushes them out of it in a few hits, unless I pin them to a wall. I'm not really sure what to do about it, though. I'd say boost the damage of the ticks, but that'd make it super strong against enemies NOT sent flying across the screen, so Iunno.

Hi guys, going to try and do a little tweaking this week and next. Nemmy, I reset the Shotgunne Mastery to default, which should fix the problem. I had it put in really weird and I'll work on customizing it for the class later. Remind me what needs to be fixed or changed and I'll try to look into it, but I can't promise I'll be able to fix everything. Thanks guys!

Okay, so I found a HUGE bug. If you unequip your weapon, or equip a new one, Shotgonne Mastery stacks up. I'm a few hours in and have 500% critical damage, and +600% attack speed...yeah. So, while fun, it's super-duper game breaking. :(

I know the mod isn't being worked on anymore, but since the author said RedPhoenix might take it on, so here's some feedback that mayhaps will help him.

Shotgun's first skill seems to synergize very poorly with the mastery. I'm only level 4 or so, admittedly, but the knockback of shotguns, along with the mastery, means the enemy gets pushed out of the laser in only 3 or so ticks. Combined with the low damage(10% a tick, +1% per level, looks like?), it makes the skill not all that great. Maybe the laser gets longer with more points, but as it is right now, it doesn't seem to work very well...

Or does the 'beam splits' thing from the tiers means the beam actually splits? I'd always assumed that for that skill, it just split more on enemy death.. my comment may very well be null and void, sorry. D:

Class Icons? Maybe you could just borrow from the Outlander or the Engineer until you have something better. If you can't make 'em yourself, you could probably find someone who's willing to provide.

I'll give it a try anyway and see how it handles. This looks like it'll be fun!

I've played the class and I have to say I love it! Its impressed a few others that Ive played with as well! The abilities are amazing and it fits the class I love to play <3!

Just curious does the armour cover the chest the whole game ? I like it although I also like seeing the different armour looks in the game

Very good class mod.

However I think you should modify the beam spell ( with the Shotgun). It deals less dammage than a simple attack.
You could probably increase from 10% to 35% of weapon DPS :)

Love the idea for this character! But I was wondering, will this class get me through the whole game? Or will I eventually hit a limit with equipment, skills, etc. not symptomatic of vanilla classes?

For some reason items that are marked Engineer, Futurist cannot be equipped by my engineer anymore. Items solely marked as Engineer can however.

It looks like theres no issues with the set up of the skill, so I'm hoping that it's just a typo since I can't find the rot of the problem, will keep working on it though.

Mattinator2006 I think the tool tip may not be displaying correctly, I'll check it out.
BeardedBabbler I'll definitely take that into consideration and try to beef up the shotgonniness

Hey just wanted to point out a bug that I noticed. When I put my first 2 points into Energized Ammunition, the damage is dusplayed correctly at the bottom of the skill tooltip. However, from the 3rd skill point and on it says only +1 Electricity damage ... regardless of rank. I was wondering if this is an unfinished tooltip or if it really starts giving me only +1 extra damage from the 3rd skill point and on. Thanks =D

I love this class! Well designed, well-meshed with Mass-Effect lore too! 12 out of 10 stars!

But - I MUST STRESS THIS -
The "shotgonne mastery" is vastly inferior scaling wise, and even more inferior in the damage department to the other 2 masteries. I nearly feel forced to use a cannon or pistols - and that would be sad!

I know the shotgun brings more control to the table, but the cannon mastery does too - albeit less efficiently

(but at the same time, the cannons first attack "carnage" can blind - which is well and good, but shotgun mastery direly needs a better damage passive - to pack that -claymore-mass-effect-style-slow-OOOMPH)

of course, the mod is yours to control - but his was just my viewpoint.

First, let me say that I -love- the theory behind this class, and I think it is extremely well implemented, my only question/concern is the addition of the ability 'Share the Wealth.' Because it uses the Engineer Charge system, does Share the Wealth actually give your minions anything? o_O

I'd say you should makee the Futurist can't equip the uniques from the Enginner... Maybe you could make a double from the current Enginner's uniques (in case you can't make custom uniques for the Futurist) and make those doubles exclusives for the Futurist class itself...

I've ran into a pretty bad issue while playing this mod, due to it sharing the class requirement of certain unique gears with the enginner...

This is what happened: I had my enginner with a few Enginner exclusive gears equiped on him and then I've decided to try this class (which is awesome btw) then, after a while, I switched to my Enginner again, and oddly, as soon as I lvled up with him, all my Enginner unique gears unequiped and dropped on the floor and I couldn't equip them back!

Then I tried to uncheck the Futurist on the mod selection menu, to see if it would fix this bug, but once I loaded my Enginner back, all my Enginner exclusive gear had vanished! :( And they didn't appeared back, even after I restarted the game with the Futurist activated :(
