@Bryan Black: maybe the mod "Endless Long Play 2400" ELP24 is something for you. This mod slows down the research on the setting "Endles" and also the general development of the empires in the game. If you combine this with the mod "Slomo Research", researching of new techs will take even longer ...

Yes ! I would like to have really more time and more control about my empire and AI expension, so, starting with 3 colonization possible and making it growing through 3 or 4 technologies, adding 1, 2, 3 and 4.
