Hey! I know you haven't updated this mod in a while, but I thought I'd mention that this mod seems to mess with the spawning of gates on lush planets. Possibly due to the fact that only the gate and mines are supposed to spawn instead of npc houses.

the only proble with ship vs ship si thats soemting that needs a lot of code to do so advice start with smaller pirate raid attacks (aka you intervine a inbound mech attack and kill them) and have a way to get both mech parts espically rare ones and the occasional bp.

aka they live in fotillas. (the same as the mass effect race before shepard helps them make peace that is)

Yes you can make your tech race specific.

Just another thought. If my other comment is of no use then I'd like to propose the idea of a diving animation when flying downwards.

I'm not a large fan of the whole thing of when you fly you just sort of awkwardly tilt and flap your wings. IN MY OPINION I'd rather have a sort of swimming-like flight mechanic where you stay straight up and move in the direction your cursor faces. Though I do not expect this comment to get any reconization. Thank you for your great work.
