Do I need to be subscribed to original mod or just need this one?

mod cause a crash in season two due to a bug when i choose a sponsor and it seems that one of those three options does not exist, has no logo and so on...
to bad. the mod is very nice and had a lot of work in it. you can hire hamilton from his f3 team and give peter bonington a job as mechanic... but not for long :-)

Mod 2008 F1 dawałby naprawde duzo frajdy. Nie licząc Aguri, to jest 10 zespołów, wiec latwo odzwierciedlic ten sezon w grze. Znerfione Ferrari bez Schumachera. Walka między Ferrari a McLarenem. Wyrównany środek stawki. No i nasz Pan Kierowca :D z potencjalem na zdobycie mistrzostwa świata.

Is it possible to apply for a higher series? I am in F3 Euro Series and won the championship but did not get an offer for F3000.

theres a few bugs which need to fixed: when you click sponsor 1 sometimes you will get a sponsor which crashes your game. But it is easy to bypass by just ignoring the sponsors. Also half way through my 4th season I got this crash error after doing a race which pretty much stopped me from continuing as i had to restart that race and i had the same error after that. Other than that Great mod

On team names. I totally get that. The constructor/team relationships should be absolutely locked (as in Toyota w/ Toyota, Ferrari/Ferrari etc...even Mercedes/McLaren and BMW/Williams, BAR/Honda. Sauber weren't locked to anyone at the time (even though they eventually became BMW), while Jordan only used Ford in 2004 because they lost Honda and were skint. Minardi I've absolutely no idea.

Chassis costs seem a little low too. Every chassis in F1 a few seasons are 5 stars across the board all the way down the grid. Which is fine, just a smidge odd! If there are any more tweaks making the top materials more expensive to make the gap to the top teams harder to close.

As a side note, in a save with Arden in the second tier; Michael Schumacher left Ferrari to race for Coloni, costing them more my drivers and staff. Literally! I'm presuming this is more of a game AI problem than a mod issue.

These are all minor issues; it's just if there's anything else you're tweaking down the road.

Is it possible to get the 2004 car designs it would be nice to have them. Other than that brilliant mod

Thanks for your comments. I'm not creator of this mod, I just made some fixes to make it properly work for the newest version of the game but let's discuss topics you brought up.

About team names. I understand your point of view but the mod is called F1 2004, and the names correspond to this season. I'm not sure if it would be better to change team names to just 'Toyota Racing' or 'McLaren Mercedes'. What about engines? You can choose other engine manufacturer than Mercedes if you're playing McLaren, so the team should be called just 'McLaren' ? (or 'Sauber', 'WilliamsF1 Team' etc.)
For your situation I recommend to use MM Save Editor and change team names to what you'll find appropiate.

About sponsors. They were set by original mod maker (RussoTuristo). I agree that they need some tweaking and if I have time maybe I will review them.

Tiny note: F1 team names. I understand why the title sponsors are there, but when you get a little ways in you have teams not sponsored by their namesakes. For instance, as Panasonic Toyota Racing I'm now sponsored by West, so maybe that could use a rethink. Also, the B&H sponsorship is pretty overpowered (10 races, £20m up front payment). Other than that it's absolutely superb.

As I said, soon as I hit continue to go to the promotions/prize money after the final race press media question and information regarding contracts running down, it complete froze up and died for me. This might be unique to me.

@MB_91 could you give the more detailed description of the bug?

Loved the mod. Unfortunately totally broke at the promotions at the end of the second season. Really frustrating as I'd gotten Toyota to 3rd with an almost peaked partnership of Vettel and Kubica. Anyone else had this issue?

Any chance to add Endurance and GT classes?

Some tweaks to engines logic (discounts, teams) + added Honda and Toyota engines.
