@Darth: This mod only changes the base time, walls and fortifications still add to this. If you want to test it start a fresh Mortal Empires game as Thorgrim Grudgebearer. Look at the Pillars of Grungi, it should have 4 turns siege resistance.

Can confirm mod still works perfectly as of September 1st 2021 (Silence and Fury dlc).

I haven't played TW2 in a long while, but this mod is only a single line in a standard table that is not likely changed by any patch. I'm sorry you have the nag about outdated mods, but it should never break anything unless they completely change the way that table is used, or the siege mechanics of the core game are overhauled by a new mechanic.

I'll update it to get rid of the nag perhaps after picking up the final DLC.

Hi to all! As it looks like the author has lost its interest in modding (which I completely respect) I decided to create my own version of the mod that you all can use. It comes in to fashions: Faster Sieges and Even Faster Sieges . Hope you love them!

Note: If the mod author consider this is not a proper space to place it, I will understand it. I just want to bring back some old feature that it is easy to replicate.

What's your favorite faction, MOD Author? They are releasing a DLC for Skaven and Dark Elf (as well as an FLC Lady for Bretonnia.

Cant seem to get this to work on new builds - showing 10-15 turns for siege with newest update. I know author said they have moved on so I don't expect and update nor am I calling for one. Just thought I would drop the info here in case.

I never understood why sieging even non-upgraded settlements took so damn long.

If you can't send a relief army to help in all those turns, you deserve to lose the location.

Do you mean the time before actual surrender? It's directly tied to the attrition table. Basically once turn count = <base, in this case 4> + modifiers (wall level, capital status, unique locations, etc) it starts halving the health of the unit per turn. So first turn after attrition timer reached, the defenders will have half health. The second turn, it halves again (quarter original health), and so on.

I don't play anymore but I know at the time I looked for a way to change this multiplier, and you couldn't that I could find.

I'm not going to update this anytime soon, it works fine. This is probably the simplest mod on the entire workshop and only modifies a single variable in one line of a global table that isn't likely to get altered for the lifetime of WH2. It's also very unlikely any DLC will ever touch this as well. It functions as normal, just ignore the outdated flag. If I ever get around to playing again I will update for the OCD peoples out there.
