It works on any chairs you sit on, even the "sit anywhere script" add-on also works
(But will stop if you stand up)

So, I do believe it will work with SCars since you are sitting down too.

I usually use the HL2 chairs to play music while making screenshots. :v

Not sure if it's just me but...

Right now, it seems the Vehicle Radio base add-on seems to be not working on the newer update of Gmod, I tried opening the radio and the interface isn't showing.

I also tried with another mod called "TFA:VOX", which is also similar and opens an interface. And seems like the interface isn't showing either. I also saw one person saying that the current version of Gmod is incompatible with it, I'm assuming that might also apply to Vehicle Radio being incompatible too.

I guess we'll wait for an update of the Vehicle Radio base add-on to be compatible for the new update.



As for client console commands, you can check the commands and their description on the Vehicle Radio base add-on (The required add-on)

Hopefully these information helps you understand.


For now, this add-on will only be useful with Wiremod and playing the sounds with the sound emitter tool.

Although the purpose of this mod is to play music in the car, not Wiremod. Just try on playing a radio until a music plays

I'm not sure what caused your error but even tho I have around 800+ mods installed and enabled, vehicle radio still works fine for me.


Well, usually even the Vehicle Radio author's radio also gives error playback to me but I keep playing the same radio until a music plays and it did.

If it doesn't actually work, I use the Wiremod addon and play the specific song I wanted to play. Most songs that are for Vehicle Radio can be found in the "vehicle_radio"folder. (This is for finding audio files using Wiremod)

Hopefully some of these information could help you out.

I do believe it works on everything that involves sitting down.

That includes even the HL2 chairs or using the "Sit Everything Addon"
Cause I always use chairs to play music while I'm making my screenshots. xD

If you choose the M key for example as your key bind, you should type


bind m +vehicles_radio_gui

I suggest you to read the console commands of the required add-on.

You also need to bind a key to open the radio GUI to be able to play music.

First, open up your console and type in this command below:
(You need to enable console in your advanced settings)

Bind [key] +vehicles_radio_gui

(The [key] means your keyboard keys. Choose a key; for example you choose the M key, when you hold the M key, the GUI will pop up)

I have no problem with radio playback error on my end.

But I sometimes have random radio playback errors on the official radio built by the Vehicle Radio authors, Idk why.

I don't think it's my addon's problem as I always use it and never had a problem with it. Although you can try to play it again when radio playback occurs or try disabling some addons.

I don't know if this will help you, but try it. :v
