@Forge sad to say im pretty busy lately and im not playing Empyrion despite of the great updates they're releasing,so im not planning to update my ships, i do apreciate un question anyways :)

Howdy! I am a fan of your designs as well! They are really well thought out and planned. Ease of access to most everything in most designs and resource costs really aren't that bad in most cases. I think you are highly underrated on the boards, so hopefully my one more vote here and subscribing to your workshop will help. @Neal... You are right, but the galaxy is unforgiving! :P Honestly i really don't like how the turrets look in most of the ships, they tend to break the lines of the hull but there's no option, i want the ship to be able to defend itself and that's the only option.

About adding retractable turrets... i'll have to see how much space they need, but the interior of the Starlight is all already on use making it hard to fit anything else without sacrificing other rooms, anyways ill check when they release it ;)

I really like the interior shots. I'll definitely add it to my collection. One thing though, the exterior looks a bit too martial for a exploration focussed ship. Maybe with the coming update you could add retractable turrets?
