Is it possible to collapse all types of plants into groups? So all palm trees, all oaks, etc would all have a single entry. Then clicking the collapsed item would expand to show all the various trees of that type.. since unlike Animal Tab there tends to be exponentially more flora on the map, even more so with certain mods

Please make it possible to diferentiate rules between "Harvesting" (eg. heal root & berrie) and "cutting" (eg. brambles)

Please add a filter system in mod options so we can filter out stuff like grass (from Vanilla Expanded) and other plants that might not actually be what we're looking for. Otherwise, fantastic mod concept, I have always hated scrounging around for wild plants with the camera on a tribal playthrough, and this allows me to finally break free from that.

Hey bod, do you happen to have a public github of this mod? It's very useful but it kills the frames when you're in a custom biome that has a -lot- of plants, such as the fungal forest cavern biome, so I was thinking about making a thing that filters specific plants from showing in the list. I did a dirty edit in the DLL to filter a specific plant that is pretty much used almost everywhere as a kind of decal to that biome and my frames when the tab is opened got immediately fixed.

This is absolutely one of my "Must Have" mods. I only have one suggestion: There really needs to be a way to disable Anima Trees from showing up in the list! I've accidentally cut them down a few times because I wasn't paying attention.

Trees can be cut but not harvested. Difference? But assign a tree to be chopped manually it registers as harvest on the tab.

Hey first: neat idea for a mod!

Imho it is just not usable, because it is kinda weird how it calculates how far away the stuff is.
Maybe you should add a spot under misc we can place which the mod uses to calculate the distance from.

Nice mod but for me it is unusable as when i open the tab my game tanks and it turns into a slideshow until i close the tab again. I have Vanilla Plants Expanded and another mod that gives a little bit of resources form cutting grass and bushes. Those might be adding them to the Flora tab but i did not think to check if those were showing in the tab as well when the tab was open.

Is there any way to filter out grass? It might be because I have Vanilla Plants Expanded, which makes grass a growable crop, but my Flora Tab is littered with hundreds of grass entries which makes it hard to find plants of actual interest- plus it lags a lot while scrolling which only makes it harder :\

can you make it so I can click and drag over the options in the tab? I'm trying to gather all the available plants of certain types and I have to click close to 50 times per map

@HAZRAD There's already filters for Trees, Crops, and Bushes at the top of the list. You can also sort them by growth stage, with a slider, at the top right.

Hey love this mod! A suggestion though, personally I dont care about the trees, only plants like ambrosia, healroot and berry bushes... If you can make it so that you can filter out trees, that would be super! Thank you for such a nice mod!

@VolatileGlitchAviator It could be that you have too many plant mods, or, like me, have some mod (IDK which) that lets you harvest hay from naturally growing grass. That seems to add grass as bushes in the tab, which makes my FPS drop to the point that clicking the checkmark button automatically double-clicks, making whatever action I just did (desginate/undesignate) revert itself. As such it's unusable for me. However, whatever mod that added the grass harvesting seems to have not made the grass selectable unless it's designated for cutting/harvesting, so perhaps the author could make a workaround based on that? I have a hunch the mod is Medieval Overhaul, but I'm not sure. I will try to remember to say something here if I find out which mod it is.
Another alternative is another filter like the percent grown filter, but for how distant the plant is from your home base. I think that'd be helpful even without the FPS drop issues.

On the off chance you come back to the comments, would it be possible to add click and drag functionality?

It looks like there are several people below who have noted that it's not possible to click and drag any selections (like you can do in the Wildlife tab/the Schedule tab etc). I believe it's something that can only be added in the assemblies and I have no idea how to read/edit C#.

No issues here. My rig was decent in its day, but it's getting older - an i7-7700K and a GTX 1070. No lag when the game is paused or running. I'm only on a medium-sized map, though, the larger the map the more there is for it to crank through, perhaps that's the issue for you? Maybe a mod conflict? I'm basically just running Vanilla Expanded and a couple of minor QoL mods like this one.

I've started a new game with just 1.3+Ideology and flora tab, and it works perfectly (it even shows the paired Gauralen trees correctly). The problem I had earlier was probably caused by a conflict with another mod.

There are 2 Tabs - Flora and Plant Info. The Flora Tab shows all the information for that Tab , but the Plant Info Tab shows no information whatsoever . What info should I be seeing in this Tab - if anything?

For some reason trees no longer show. They did a few days ago, not not anymore. The list is empty. Crops and Bushes work fine.

Hi, can you add ignore list for crops? In my case all grass is listed in the tab, which cause huge lags when it's opened.

Thank you! Really looking forward to trying it out. Two more suggestions, up to you if they're useful. I've noticed that the distance is "as the crow flies" instead of a real travel distance, any thoughts on an option for a smarter distance calculation? Also, it would be nice to pick where it calculates the distance from, center of home isn't bad but being able to choose a specific stockpile or the tree closest to your lumberjack pawn would be nice. Each of these may introduce significant calculation times and would probably need some thought to get implemented properly, however.

Thanks for the great mod, really reduced my feeling of tedium. Any chance of a "percent grown" filter? For example, it would be fantastic to only see trees in the list that are >90% grown but sort it by distance.

I love this mod, but I agree that being able to sort by name and growth would be incredibly useful. I have another mod that allows you to just harvest mature plants that are selected, but in a tropical map full of bamboo, it sure would be nice to narrow down the harvests to food!

Love the mod. Right now it's showing flora under the fog of war, though--in undiscovered caves, etc.

It might also be nice to be able to hold click and mouse over the flora actions to activate them, like you can with the wildlife tab.

IT'S ORDERED BY DISTANCE! If that was one of those bugs that made you do a backflip when you figured it out, as a dev, I feel that. Great to see a mod that fits right in as if it was made in core. Good job my guy!

Hi there. Nice idea for a mod. I noticed that flora not visible on the map (obscured by unexplored mountain tiles, etc), still show up on the list. I assume this is an oversight, and if so, I would be happy to subscribe to this mod once fixed.
