@Tiny4741 - Technically (the gear part itself) yes - but gear currently only exists for one or two of them(colab) I am still looking into reworking (and expanding) the graphics (which is the main work in having other animals supported)

(some really new animals that are not based on base-game version might need some body-part definitions - but other than that there shouldn't be any problems)

Does this mod work for any of the "Animal Colab Project" animals? (i.e. honey badgers, direwolves, megabadgers, etc.) Same question applies to the dinosauria creatures.

Ohh. I see. It's a single recepie, but it has a different set of pngs for the animal sub-types. I'll have to compare what a tiger looks like vs. the other big cats. Not just going to be a quick thing. ;)

@beetlecat - It needs to find the graphic under "RimWorld\Mods\AnimalGearBasic\Textures\Things\Pawn\Animal\Apparel\Body\catofpreyarmor_Lynx_east.png"/north/south for example

Shoot. I tried to just add "Tiger" to the cat of prey armor list. I'm assuming it takes a bit more than that? ;) The graphic shape may not be compatible with the somewhat larger tiger frame, but I wanted to see if it would work.

i found a bug: i dressed plasteel armor to one bear and to other bear stell armor, but it didnot change any protection statistics, plastell armor should be better, like plate armor

Is there any chance of getting armour for bird types? It'd be hilarious and useful to get chicken armour as well as terrifying to see an angry cassuary in plate come sprinting towards you.

Love this mod btw, I use it to keep my wolves safe <3

Hey, so due to how the new apparel insulation/protection works, stuffed equipment added by this actually ignores the stat modifiers of the stuff it's made from and actually need to be updated.

@Dylan I can see the future heavy armored bionic improved cats with lazer eyes and gun turrets on their back. Also flying sharks with a bombload of 1000kg X)

@Ghost [S.T.A.L.K.E.R.] - :D yeah, it's the problem with most animals, especially versus ranged (it is why I created the mod)

A devision between low/high tech armor is definately something that makes sense

@Dylan Nice, dooing the hardcore playthrough. Rhinos need armor there because they just get gunned down too fast ;). I mean they are strong as hell compared to other animals, but they get too weak vs lategame raders and mechs. With armor they would be even greater living shields.

Also if its possible it would maybe make more sence (for the future) if you could research the basic armor and later on maybe even some exoskeletan (powerarmor) :D

@Vladimir - You have to have both mods (Base&Basic) the armor has to be in storage that the animals have access to and then you have to allow the gear for the animal (last screenshot above) Then they will put it on after a bit of time.

@Galrent - The time depends on the animal - but probably ^^ you can have a look at the current textures at "\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\1445465112\Textures\Things\Pawn\Animal\Apparel\Body"
3 for the sides and 1 for when it lies on the ground (they are power of 2 [32x32,64x64,..256x256 etc.]) - The base-game textures can be found in the forum, for example https://github.com/Alias44/b18-Textures/blob/master/Textures/things/pawn/animal/bear/Bear_front.png

@Dylan Yeah, their animals are really top notch. We can only hope that one day, the two mods become completely compatable.

I would offer to help with artwork, but I'm not entirely sure what the formatting is for the graphics, and I have a feeling I'd take a really long time too.

@Galrent - Cool ^^ would be great to see some stuff from people who know what they are doing drawing wise :D I had some help here with the later gear and maybe someone will overhaul the other graphics in the future too, but I don't know exactly when (If they have the time/want to draw for those animals I will definately ask about it).

I commented on both mods, just to be sure. Cucumpear had said "it's on my to-do once I find time. XD" So, there may be a good chance they do something with it, though I won't hold them to it, if they choose not to.

@Bonedragon1300 (&"The" SeanMacLeod &Galrent) - Not at the moment / the work are the graphics mostly - and mine are 'acceptable' ^^ maybe we get some better in the future and can look into other mods again (The best way would be to ask the makers of those mods- as they created the animals, they would be able to draw gear that fits them best - but if not and enough people are interested I am always willing to look into it - once the B19 stuff has settled with all my mods).

@Bonedragon1300 - Sounds weird, I will have a look at that mod, could be that they just can't reach or get stuff from there - I am not sure it is a problem with this mod in that case.
I tested with patchleather and that worked too, so I will have a look at infinite storage next.

I told them to just use anything, there is a leather from a mod that I have over 200 of last I looked, and I keep a stock of patched leather of 100, so I don't know why it's not working sense I have the mats for it

@Bonedragon1300 - I just tested it, seems to work OK, you need 60 leather or fur and 100 steel
