I'd have to rework the entire mod and the main stuff (intel/missions) is already there so this mod is now obsolete. If I decide to make a mod that changes or adds more to the current espionage system, then I'll make a new mod for that. Thanks for those who have played the mod until now!

If you were in the middle of a mission, you should still be able to do it. But if you really want to start more missions, disbanding the colossus should allow you to use the espionage menu again.

Yes I have a colossus. Can I resume the missions if I disband it? Or does it not work with the tech and tradition unlocked?

I seem to have an issue where the menu to spy and conduct missions is no longer in the edicts tab mid game.

also the send envoy mission when it successfully improve relations has a 300 positive relation modifer with a 0 monthly meaning that it will never go away, not sure if this is intentional (Hope is not)

Done. For those with existing saves, it is toggled off. Wait one monthly tick if you want to re-enable it.

NOTE: This does NOT prevent existing Leader Assassination missions that have already been started.

Do you know how i can disable the kill leader feature? im my game losing a leader is a big deal since i have made them critical for the success of a empire (also i have captain marvel from Zero infinity stones as a admiral and would not make a lot of sense that a spy can kill a superhero).

This mod is meant to be more of an intel mod than a sabotage/provocation mod so no. Only really going to make bug fixes for the mod for now since Nemesis is coming at some point.

I'm going to assume you mean no longer requiring envoys on empires to do espionage missions on them. In that case, I did consider it at some point but immediately dismissed it because I wanted the mod to focus more on gathering intel on other empires and the espionage/sabotage missions being like a minigame of wits (or semi-weighted RNG if against the AI). My direction with the mod may change depending on what parts of the mod people mainly enjoy.

Just an idea for the future, if you do come back to it; have you ever considered no longer requiring the envoy on nations you have 3-4 intrigue or higher? Maybe allowing it at the cost of the intrigue, sort of setting up a permanent spy organization.

Just looked at the workshop page after a long while and realized that it's been 2 years since I uploaded this mod.

UPDATE:
-If multiple empires are spying on you with the same espionage mission, RNG picks one of the spying empires and their choice will ultimately affects your outcome. This is to prevent the possibility of guaranteed failure for the victim.
-Assassinate Leader mission now require at least level 1 intrigue AND only randomly target leaders with a leader level equal to or less than your intrigue level on them x 2. Max intrigue removes the leader requirement.
-Some small localization fixes. I feel like I'm missing some stuff but I'm too frustrated at this game to even want to play it right now.

@Dragon of Desire: I was always a little iffy on assassinating leaders mainly because of the leader mechanic in general so I tried restricting which leaders could randomly get targeted at first but the idea of using intrigue levels as a gateway for higher level leaders being targeted seems good. And as for the AI, the main reason why you're always failing when the AI sabotages you is that I'm assuming all of the AI is ganging up to spy on you and they're choosing both choices (their choices are mostly random but it can happen) to make you guaranteed to fail. I have a way to change how successes and fails work in my to-do list to counteract this but I'm currently really busy with some personal projects and burnt out of playing this game. I'll see if I can squeeze in an update. Thank you for you feedback.

Also, I have noticed that the AI almost ALWAYS knows what you pick when you sabotage them. Like, Whenever I try to do the sabotage, I end up failing 80-90% of the time, and they get the rewards instead. And then, somehow, when I choose a option when they sabotage me, I pretty much always fail that too. It's getting ridiculous.

Assaaaination Attempts on a leader should not be a default technology at ALL. It should require a tech or something. It's frustrating to have a 50% chance that your leader is going to die at the start of the game when this pops up. Better yet, you should consider removing it completely and/or require a VERY high Intrigue level.

@AngleWyrm: Good to hear. Apologies for the other campaigns though.

UPDATE:
-Requirements for Naval Maintenance mission was apparently commented out. It's now back.
-You will now no longer be able to do espionage missions on other empires if they were recently (<5 years) a victim of that espionage mission. This is to prevent victims of espionage constantly getting specific espionage events bombarded on them. For example, Empire A just finished the Leader Scandal espionage mission on Empire B. Empire C cannot use the leader Scandal espionage mission on Empire B for a while. If Empire A was still doing the espionage mission, Empire C can still do it.

Working now; restarted a new campaign [v2.6.2] and the alerts are in sync with the empire territory color map and ability to perform espionage missions.

Honestly don't know what to say then. Try resubscribing I guess. If that doesn't work, then are you using my Intel from Diplomacy mod? Because you should NOT use both at the same time. Note that you should wait about 10 years at most before the bad notifications should stop triggering.

Regardless, I'll look into it once I get some sleep. Also wondering if anyone else that is using a fresh save is getting this problem.

EDIT: Yes, I am one of those guys who likes to edit a lot.

More news from our level-2 alerts guy: He's posted his favorite alert that I am now able to plan an espionage mission on so-and-so, but hasn't noticed that I'm already doing that and so cannot do another espionage mission atm.

PS: I like this mod; it adds a new dimension to the game.

UPDATE:
-Assassinate Leader mission should no longer target leaders with certain traits that make them immortal. If an empire does NOT have any non-immortal leaders to kill, the mission cannot be done. Rulers are no longer exempt from being picked as a candidate so long as they don't have certain immortal traits.
-Naval Maintenance mission now requires level 3 intrigue.
-Removed a rogue remnant AI file that shouldn't have been there.
-Removed remnant code for espionage cooldown when you're viewing intel on another empire. Note that the bug fix for this won't fix notifications triggered beforehand so give it about an in-game year.

Curse you, remnant code. Foiled me once again! *shakes fist angrily*

Cause was remnant code that used to give an espionage cooldown when you're viewing info on an empire. Should be fixed soon.

I think the alerts guy may be a little over-enthusiastic about his job. He seems to be issuing alerts that I am now able to plan an espionage mission against so-and-so before I am actually able to do such a thing.

Updating for the sake of having the Diplomatic Envoy mission back (numbers tweaked but not reworked yet) and bug fixes.

UPDATE:
-Localization changes in espionage missions
-Bug fixed where you're wrongly getting a 900-day notification cooldown even though you successfully did an espionage mission
-Bug fixed on scope for espionage cooldown notifications for when an empire does a successful espionage mission
-Diplomatic Envoy mission is back but sadly not reworked yet as the "rework" is not ready yet. Opinion modifiers from the Diplomatic Envoy mission changed from +/-30 to +/-300. Decay changed from -/+1 per year to -/+2 per month.

Think I found the cause. Gonna put the fix in with some other changes, such as putting the Diplomatic Envoy mission back in so there won't be an immediate update.

You only need an envoy sent to an empire while not having a Total War CB. There's no opinion requirement.

The last update gave a nice touch to the mod! This mod may look simple but it is so good. Thanks for making it and keep it up to date. I have one suggestion. Would be possible to add a new type of information in the espionage cooldown map mode where it would indicate empires you can't spy on for not having envoys working on them, adding a red color, for example, to indicate this information? Thanks again!

UPDATE:
-Fixed localization for tech notifications
-All espionage mission results show their target empire's results for both success and failure to the spying empire. Both the spying empire's event and their target's is nearly identical except that the spying empire will get "Our spies are relaying a transmission from an advisor of [EMPIRE NAME] to their [EMPIRE RULER TITLE]" at the start of their event descriptions and that their response is always "Debrief over".
-Trade Policy mission now cannot be done on Trade League Federation members. This is a temporary change.
-Removed the Diplomatic Envoy espionage mission temporarily until a rework on it is done.

Just wanting to share a bug. It seems you have triggers that, if you have enough Intrigue, tells you when a country has specific researches. However, they do not have a localization tag and give things such as "kiyo_event_notification.4.tech_robotic_workers". Just trying to help!

Would it be okay if I asked you to do something that would need quite a bit of work on your part? You see, I noticed you get the resources from a successful Espionage without any fanfare or even telling you that you got it. I was curious if I could be so bold as to ask if we could get some events that explains what happens, and what action the other person took?

It'd be fun to hear about the havoc and mayhem that a successfull mission causes, or the events that happen where the mission failed. It'd also be a great way to say "hey, your mission succeeded, and you got some Intrigue and resources" instead of just suddenly "poof, you have resources".
