To people who think this also replaces the model then you are sadly mistaken. This only replaces the voice so go and find some addon that replaces ellis with purple heart or something. Unless you like ellis sounding like purple heart.

Anyway to get the english dub for Purple Heart's voice? Also is there a Victory version of her HDD suit rather than from Mk2?

If you want to get rid of the voice quickly, I'd hit the "verify integrity of game cache" button in the L4D2 properties menu. :Sob:

Unless you've got some other voice packs installed as well, you'll have to move the back up files back into their folders and run the "snd_rebuildaudiocache" command in L4D2 once more to get the original voice back :No1:

Where did you get that purple heart re-skin? The only ones I can search up is the one with wings. If you could give a link or something, that would be very much appreciated. :D

If you try to replace the voice files of characters other than Ellis, you'll be missing out on quite a lot of them.
But it should work, yup.

Also, if you search the workshop for "Purpleheart" (not "Purple Heart"), you'll find both versions which will replace Ellis and Rochelle :No1:

You forgot to remove Ellis' files before placing the modded files into the mechanic folder :Sob:

... or you forgot to remove the files inside the left4dead2_dlc1\sound\player\survivor\voice\mechanic folder :No1:

Remember to always run the snd_rebuildaudiocache command after you've messed around with the voice files!

I installed the mod (as shown in the video), but I now hear BOTH Ellis's default audio and the modded audio. Did I do something incorrectly?

I'm not sure which voice packs you're talking about.

The voice packs that can be installed by clicking on the subscribe button usually have problems because the audio files are longer or shorter than the original files. (Like buzzing or screeching noises)

By installing it manually, nothing like that happens.

Okay, this has been bugging me for awile but here it goes. Why is is that some voice packs on the workshop can be simply subscribed to and work, and others you have to go and change files and all that other stuff. Is it really that hard to just make it where people can subscribe and be done with it?
