i swear France is lobotomized in this mod. I've tried several submods, ticking lucky nations, submod packs that boost France AI's economy and autoresolve capability, nothing makes them worth a damn they are basically all of Europe's stomping ground. I am playing as the duchy of Burgundy, their vassal, and i constantly have to babysit this great medieval power that sends their armies off to seemingly nowhere and never defends their own lands. how are you going to make one of the most influential powers of the time a laughing stock? England waltzes all over them with basically no effort 5 turns into the campaign and France does basically nothing but drag me into wars, steadily lose territory and then command their armies to march themselves into the sea or something. Im on my probably 10th attempt at this campaign and If i dont save France at every possible chance they would probably off themselves by turn 50. im losing my mind

Delightful mod. I fell in love with Total War and the late middle ages again thanks to it. Some crashes happened on the first sessions, but I managed to fix it with, I imagine, happens to be default fixes for Atilla base game. (1) - On "%AppData%", go on the paste "scripts" and set in the .txt file: "gfx_video_memory -4000"; and "number_of_threads 8". (2) - On graphics settings in-game, set "Particle Effects" -> "Performance" and "Shadows" -> "Quality". AA does not change much for me, 4x dropped minor frames with ~7000 units on-screen siege, will try with 8x. Alias, I have the blood dlc. (3) - Finally, I subscribed to Tycherious' Complete, an excellent recommendation from the youtuber TheTerminator, which is a modlist compatible (QoL improvements, performance, gameplay and so on) with 1212 AD. If you wish to disable 4 turn year, just unsubscribe of it (Tycherious’ 1212 4TPY – Four Turns Per Year). Have a great playthrough you all!

Hi, please in the campaign of Jerusalem i cannot upgrade my templar knights, both mounted and dismounted to high units, they stay always in early stage, could please check that because in coustum battles is possible to have the templar khights in high stage.

The battle animation its choppy even in the lowest graphic configuration, imposible to play. Im playing DEI with maximum graphic conf with more than 10k units in the map and it runs great. Anybody is having the same issue?

really really wish that they didn't make this mod on a garbage game like Attilla, the game should have been a DLC for Rome 2. this mod should have been made for ROME II TOTAL WAR BECAUSE ATTILA IS AN UN-OPTIMIZED POS GAME THAT SHOULDN'T EXIST AS A STANDALONE GAME. I CAN BARELY GET THIS MOD TO LAUNCH LET ALONE STOP LAGGING LONG ENOUGH TO ACTUALLY PLAY. I guess a 4070 ti super and the Ryzen equivalent of the intel i9 isn't good enough to run this un-optimized garbage game.....

I've started a new game a few times, and each time, Ulus of Jochi froze on the 5th or 6th round. I deleted the game and reinstalled it with everything, but I'm still getting the same error. I've opened it as Selçuklu and England, and in both rounds, the game froze when it came to Ulus of Jochi on the 5th or 6th round.

The game was playing fine the day before but today I'm suddenly getting insane stuttering and frame drops to the point that it's unplayable. Not sure what changed; the only other mods I'm running are the Olympian Campaign/Battle Camera (which I already tested by turning it off). The FAQ above doesn't say anything about this.

That would probably break all mods involved. Its less about this gamefranchise, but a general rule that if mods change the same things, especially on a fundamental level, then they will go into conflict with each other, and break.

I’m pretty new to the franchise so i’m not sure if campaign mods are compatible with each other, but would this work with the fire forged empires and the AD 711 byzantium-arab war mods?

Great overhaul, but is it just me or do too many characters share the same names? It feels like the name pool is a bit small, and in the later games it gets confusing when multiple characters end up with identical names.

dont play this on unit size ultra. atleast for me when i did the units were stuttering as they marched or running. unless someone has a fix for this.

Excellent overhaul mod, very cool to see the medieval 3 total war that never became. However, one huge gameplay issue that still hasn't been fixed at least 3 years after the first posts mentioning it, is that attacking siege AI will get a massive brainfart once their first siege engine docks on the walls, then the rest of the enemy army will sit outside in missile range, cloudwatching I guess. I wonder what code the mod developers were messing with to cause this, they seemingly haven't done much to even recognize the issue exists, when it consistently happens in every siege battle, campaign or custom, Attila map or mod map.

cause I see people asking. Apparently they are lacking the numbers in people developing the mod so they need help. that is why updates are taking so long. if you can help go to their discord. this came from a video i watched from a youtuber who talks about total war mods all the time

HRE needs to be able to recruit more of the pikemen with shields & plate armor… they would have historically have supplied their armies if they could have, just like a player in a digital game can alternate history, why not have it as state issued?

Also, they’d kinda become the boss faction, with maybe a slight increase for ai & not much more. Tactics would have to be overseen rather than straight on confrontations or sieges(ai/players) go defensive.

I had the same issue with polish units (there were invisible). The solution was that i had not installed the units pack vol. 9 (i think it's new? because when i played about 2 years ago everything was good and i don't change anything with my subs since this time.)

In the description for Jochi (the Golden Horde) you write "The history of the Mongol empire effectively begins and ends with Genghis Khan." This is completely wrong. The Empire lasted for 67 more years after Genghis died in 1227, and didn't reach its greatest extent until the 1270s, under Kublai. There were four Great Khans after Genghis who ruled a unified Mongol empire. You really should change the description, because frankly, it's embarrassing for the creators of a medieval mod to know so little about medieval history.

Some factions such as Epirus, Nicaea, Latin Empire, etc., I CANNOT recruit handgunners at all. In the "Technology" tab, there is no handgunners option at all!!!
