hi, nice map but because some towns are to close each other, basically are growing by themselves . I tried to delete some from your file but game is giving fault when trying to generate streets, although is set as false in the base_game file ( town connections).
I really like the map but auto growing towns are just not my style. Any idea how to fix this??

is this a 4k or 6k map

The roads are auto-generated by the game when it loads the map for the first time. Unless I upload a save game file, but that's different.

@Spearin I meant could you change the map a bit so that it STARTS with a higher bridge or no bridge?
Spearin  [作者] 2018 年 7 月 29 日 下午 7:38
@Snek Boi Yes, you will need to demolish the bridge and build a new taller one that will accommodate ships. If you enable the navigable waters overlay (bottom right of screen) as you build, you'll see when it's green and ships can pass through.
Natia Adano 2018 年 7 月 29 日 下午 4:43
Is it possible to either rise the Detroit-Windsor Bridge so that ships can pass under it or remove it?

Thanks Doc! It's known and a quirk with how the engine renders water. The water level is always set to 100m, so it's difficult to have water in the higher elevation areas. I attempted to smooth out the steep river banks, but some manual smoothing will likely be necessary. The dry river beds are intentional, as I wanted to transition to higher ground at the edges of the map.

Great map! The only thing I noticed is that some river banks are very steep and some riverbeds and lakes on the southern end of the map are dry. Is this intended/known, or a problem on my end?

Passengers are fairly easy. Industry is slightly more complex. I started with Cleveland steel mill for industry. Ship coal and ore from Akron by rail.

Detroit would be another good focal point to start, with plenty of potential for passenger transport.

Ack! What's the best way to get the ball rolling on this map? Passengers? Cargo? Trains? Buses? Trams? Ships? And where do I start at?

MY HOME! awsome bro

Thanks for the quick fix Spearin. You rock! Gonna start a new playtrhough on this map tonight.
Spearin  [作者] 2018 年 7 月 4 日 下午 3:53
That screenshot is actually facing south, sorry it does look misleading in that regard. It's at the edge of the map so if I was looking north it would be a cut off horizon.

love the golden horshoe map. i'll be trying this one later. just one queston though, why is Sarnia west of Port Huron. the picture above shows Sarnia in USA which is definitely not the case.

Thanks for the bug report Sola'venator! I've fixed the Coal Mine missing from the Lite version. I also discovered the Steel Mill in Lorain wasn't generating in either version, so I fixed that too.
Sola'venator 2018 年 7 月 3 日 下午 8:50
Awesome map. Though it appears there's no coal mine in the lite version.

No problem! I have relatives down that way, on Lake Huron near Forest.

Yes, I did name 'Whatford' intentionally wrong, as an homage to my girlfriend's surname :P

Already planning out my next Great Lake map!

A Transport Fever fan from South Western Ontario thanks you. I can't wait to build the Grand Trunk railway. Maps looks great. Whatford is actually Watford but you might did this on purpose. Thanks for giving maps for Ontario railways,
