The mod description says it limits the growth state to 6 but according to the wiki, the seed-bearing stage is 7.

This mod isn't working right anymore, I just ran it in my game with accelerated growth time and I could never get seeds out of it. I found these mods work correctly Farming Without the Rotting and Crops Never Rot .

I like Farming Without the Rotting more because the other mod has a sandbox option that no one understands

Doesn't seem to work on our server, as plants are rotting (some players have reported them going rotten before seed bearing, but haven't been able to confirm this myself). Could it have some sort of conflict with Soul Filcher's farming time?

Tested for B41.65. Works as intented. Does anyone know if this mod applies to hydrocraft modded crops as well?

Works on stable for sure, never had an issue with it. (which makes sense, stable hasnt had a change since 2018 and this mod was last updated 2018)

Build 41 though... its risky.

@Rainoa you're not losing your mind. The strawberries are the oddball plants in the game where they go back to stage 1 or 2 after they have been harvest. I think it's done this way to mimic how strawberries are like weeds in real life, where they will spread and create new plants along with producing berries with seeds on them.

I don't have a good answer for you, it's one of those things where it seemed to work so I never tried to understand it further. I did notice a few odd ball things with the numbers and the image being displayed but they seemed to pretty much work as intended.

u know after looking at some the farming code strawberry say stage 6 should be mature & seeding

why in the world did game say my plants was stage 7 before they became that?
maybe if ur not farming rank 10 it can be off alittle? i think i was around 6-7 rank

so i noticed my Strawberry in-game without this mod or anything edit plants
was 6/7 & saying in bloom but i could not harvest when i logged in later it said 7/7 & was seed bearing and i could harvest them

i thought stage 6 was seed bearing for all plants & 7 was rotten this is got my brain going error 404

a even bigger WTH, when i harvested them they went back to seeding and didnt dissapear

@the_phil is there a way to get your mod working with Hydrocraft installed? We are trying to use HC but the plants are rotting. I looked at farming_vegetableconf.lua, just wondering if the above if/then can be injected into that file?

I think it's a very good idea for the mod.
But I looked in the code and found that you replaced whole function. If original function is updated, your mod become outdated. I think better way is an inject into original code. So I fixed your code and now you can use my code instead of yours. Btw now it's smaller.

@Starman I was able to duplicate by using the pre 40.30 version of the mod. It might be an issue with steam not downloading the updated version. Try unsubscribing and subscribing to the mod again.

There might be some oddities with the steam workshop integration where you would need to unsubscribe, then load Project Zomboid, exit the game, then subscribe and load the game again.

Deleting the current workshop content should force it to grab the latest version
on Linux it's in ~/.steam/steamapps/workshop/content/108600/1415491388/
On Windows it should be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\1415491388\
Simply delete the 1415491388 folder, the folder ID's match the last set of numbers in the URL on the mod website https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1415491388

Plants give seeds and freeze at the seed stage. (plants can go rotten/die from lack of water or disease).

@BATU_KHAN yes it will work in single player and multi-player.
Yes it will be active in your current saved game. As long as your plants are not rotten it will keep them from getting to 7th growth cycle of rotten, but they can still rot from disease.

@Straypixel Workshop ID: 1415491388 - Mod ID: FarmingNeverRot - added to the description. Question, do you ask so you can easily add it to a config file?

Also in case you wanted to know Workshop ID's are part of the URL (should be visible at the top in green with steam) grab the numbers after ?id= and the Mod ID's are in the mod.info file packaged with the mods.
