This looks like one of the only warpaints that'd cost more as battlescarred than in factory new
chinese cowboy expression 26. okt. 2021 kl. 22:34
Aww, I actually preferred the old one :(
RGB  [ophavsmand] 14. okt. 2021 kl. 0:55
Thanks!
I overhauled it up to today's standards now!

Cool, an update to a favorite warpaint of mine.
Woshee 5. jan. 2021 kl. 13:07
This makes me wish VALVe made war paint cases for thier summer paid content patches.
mariogeek2 9. sep. 2019 kl. 12:00
@Pixel Indeed. It genuinely sucks cool stuff that messes with wears such as this, Molten, and Radioactive gets passed up. But of course Valve isn't going to communicate with us. No, they're just going to pick stuff such as Skull Study, which, IMO, is just decent in FN and MW and terrible in all other wears. I will admit, I'm a bit salty about that. I wish that one day, though, Valve does add this. Hopefully, I'll have traded enough by that point to pick up an isotope BS RL or Sticky Launcher.
RGB  [ophavsmand] 9. sep. 2019 kl. 10:04
@mariogeek2 I really wish Valve would give a word about what's happening because if it were clear nothing would be happening I'd release this paint as a mod, honestly. I don't like something I'm proud of being in limbo forever like that.
mariogeek2 8. sep. 2019 kl. 8:08
Lol, funny story - I actually dreamt this got added to the game, and it was GLORIOUS!
RGB  [ophavsmand] 19. aug. 2018 kl. 5:41
True, but keeping it as a theme is pretty hard as well on top of all these restrictions.
I had the idea of a colored handle or lighter brush hair, but it strays away from the better look.
I'll probably try again with a totally different theme at some point but people seem to really like this one so I'd rather not change anything.
Knusperfrosch 19. aug. 2018 kl. 5:28
@Pixel: I don't know. The Boneyard decorated weapon skins looked pretty good both in FN and at high wear grades with blood on them, because the scratches were not very visible/blended into the fine lines of the bone surface.
RGB  [ophavsmand] 16. aug. 2018 kl. 3:22
While what you said is true, I get the feeling Valve wouldn't accept a weapon that looks too good on both ends in the first place.
I went on an artisan feel for this weapon, with materials like a wooden brush and burlap cloth to not remove the tf2 vibe from it, as the paint effect is breaking the art style quite a bit otherwise.
It also offers a nice contrast against the paint under any circumstance.
Also, I think the paint enhances a weapon that would be mercenary grade at best otherwise, making it interesting for both preferences when it comes to plain VS colorful .
Now, that's just what I've come up with a week of intensive testing, but I'm not really sure I made the right choices either.
Knusperfrosch 15. aug. 2018 kl. 21:45
Very clever. It actually makes scratches look good. :ss13ok:

Does the base colour have to be cardboard brown, though? Why not make it darker, black, or dark grey and silver? Otherwise you have just switched the ends of the Gaussian curve (as FN and BS wears are identical in rarity) and made a warpaint where Factory New would be drab and worthless.

Tf2 is too detailed for TF2
zxzbzxbzxczxcbrd 19. juli 2018 kl. 14:05
beautiful but MUCH too detailed

RGB  [ophavsmand] 13. juli 2018 kl. 15:39
It's up to valve,I can't do much about it...
Nica102us 13. juli 2018 kl. 14:56
Oh, that's unfortunate, perhaps you could make a texture fix or get/make a code that would fix the problem for war paints.
RGB  [ophavsmand] 13. juli 2018 kl. 14:49
I hoped nobody would notice, but that's the seam that can be seen on any minigun skin,I can't do anything about it.
Nica102us 13. juli 2018 kl. 14:30
A very good idea with a very good execution, except that in a small few cases the rainbow texture has a straight line between other parts of the rainbow texture, such as at the front end of the minigun.
RAYhill 24. juni 2018 kl. 9:43
very creative!

Scratch marks replacement,mostly
Cyan Kevlar 20. juni 2018 kl. 7:53
I've always loved the idea of making the lower end skins look better than the upper end, but what I've wondered is how it's done.
Ummuranium 20. juni 2018 kl. 7:21
This is a loooot better
RGB  [ophavsmand] 16. juni 2018 kl. 9:32
Updated the bristles to fit more into TF2's aesthetics :trainbowbarf:
Daniel 15. juni 2018 kl. 17:45
looks good but not gonna lie from far away it looks like when your graphics card begins to die
Vesper 14. juni 2018 kl. 13:50
I have a feeling that there could be a Splatoon joke here somewhere. Or a splat Timbjoke. But eh.
Gaming 14. juni 2018 kl. 10:15
The idea of a Battle Scarred being more valuable than a Factory New is exciting to me. Anyone who claims that a skin being like this is 'confusing' must be confused by a lot of things.
Dangerous 14. juni 2018 kl. 2:12
While the idea is good, the visual noise and randomness of colours doesn't really fit the artstyle.
RGB  [ophavsmand] 14. juni 2018 kl. 1:09
There's no metallic texture and the wooden texture is an unedited stock one from the game...
Gamer_X 14. juni 2018 kl. 1:06
paint looks nice, but wooden and metalic textures don't fit the artstyle at all. They are way too detailed.
wash my bellay 13. juni 2018 kl. 12:13
ew
Kahpy 13. juni 2018 kl. 11:27
Seems a little too detailed for TF2. I do like it though, it'd just stand yout too much.
TM64G 13. juni 2018 kl. 8:47
Finally. A reason to get a War Paint of the "lowest" quality.
Tiny Sov 13. juni 2018 kl. 8:32
GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENUUUUIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Captain Beard 13. juni 2018 kl. 6:18
I love it, but I'd definitely prefer Battle Scarred to Factory New, which means this will be a confusing skin on the market, and thus, I fear Valve would not accept it... Personally I feel there should be an exception to every rule, and this would be a fantastic exception... I'd totally get this, hell, i'd buy the entire set... It's lovely

Updated the war paint to include custom scratches patterns now
Ummuranium 11. juni 2018 kl. 20:05
a lot people will prefer battle scarred, maybe put untouch paint for factory new?
ElemAngell 11. juni 2018 kl. 19:47
This is such a cool war paint. It reminds me of those papers where you scratch off black stuff to make cool rainbow art.
Polymur 11. juni 2018 kl. 17:47
i like how it still looks nice when battle scarred i bet alot of people will prefer the battle scared version rather than factory new possibly beacauce the colors and that when factory new it looks like damascus mahogony
Jellyfish89 11. juni 2018 kl. 15:34
A skin that looks amazing at every wear? Impossible!
