there are many like that but you could always sacrifice a mod follower to finish the quest then save turn off mod, load, save and then turn it back on. The follower will be back where they start.
Of course this mod is convient only saying that killing someone ain't such a big deal.
Hell I know most people will stick to 1 or 2 followers the whole game witch makes others not being used wasted.
You could always kill one of the companions as well there are plenty of useless npc in there.

I really doubt this is my mod's fault though. No one else has reported this bug.
Maybe its a NPC from the random Encounter Mod.
I have look with another Char there but was not there and I not remember the Name.
A bit later I have found the Shrine and get the Quest to get someone to bring there, but I not have know who I should bing there.
Then I have remember this Guy at the Street an have retour to the Street.
I have look the Street between the broken House and the Tower but have found Nobody, not even with the Dragonborn-Whisper who detect Life, the Guy was gone.
Maybe he despawn some Gamehours after you have talk to him.
