So long Meridius. You've been one of the only reasons I come back to this game. After modding, I took up the Mantle of Game Development as well. I'm on a bit of a hiatus due to unreal being a little wonky after the 5 update, and it took the wind out of my sails. I'll get back to it though. I wish you well in all your Endeavors.

I am trying to track down a bug where enemies are nuking my new base from 5+km away when before they couldn't see me until around 2km. I have been trying to track down this bug but I can't seem to find anything that is getting me more information

Does this mod extend their targeting range? I'm getting engaged from 6km away when usually even if they have big guns they dont see me until like 3km

Currently using this on a private DS, so far no issues, bugs or breaks, seems to be still holding up with the other NPC scripts, if anyone is wondering its still working.

Yes, but mostly no. Some older mods still rely on it as a dependency. I don’t add new features to it anymore, but if it breaks I will fix it

@Aciilno - This mod would only be required for mods that still use it as a dependency, though that number is certainly dwindling. Check the NPC mods you use, and if none require this mod, it is safe to remove.

@kaldien - Discord or Pastebin are good methods.

No, this will not affect that. If you not seeing items in store blocks, you may have another mod that is adding definition changes to base game items that messes with their pricing. I remember either a 'small blocks mod' or maybe a weapon mod that was doing that once, but can't recall what it was.

Struggling to figure the proper thread to post this question on - but do you know of any way for npc encounters to spawn with all ai turrets set to max range? using a weapon rebalance that increases turret ranges, and hoping npc encounters would increase their own turret range

Meridius, I really hope you see this, I think there might be something broken and if your last post is the explanation, that given, your life is your own as is your property, this is probably in tie for the top three player created mods still not obtained by Keen, and that even if it goes, i'd have to say I've had a hell of a lot of fun with it, thank you.

I only have a handful that use it myself, and there's probably more from other authors that I don't keep track of.

I'll actually be moving my own mods off of this mod as a dependency in the future in favor of a new AI system, so such a list would become obsolete after a short time.

A faction have to be founded by an NPC, it's a check that all the methods pass before they will even attempt to work, so if I found a faction in game and then create an NPC in there - it still won't meet the requirments, and making a mod that will create more factions is basically the same as making this work with player-owned ships (which I did, but... I'd rather have it as a config option on a WS script, then maintain my own copy)

You can make a custom faction, add an npc, then transfer ownership to the npc. That way it allows npc features on allied drones

How do I get this to work? I cant get it to cooperate. Perhaps add a simple sample script for s drone to get nearby enemy grids, pick one, and attack?
