How can I choose the Selim I. when I create a single player game? I can't see the emperor altough I add this package. I would be happy if you help me.

It scales by era. That's basically it.
Womper 20. okt. 2019 kl. 19:19
Could you explain the mechanics of the gold gain? How much does it give?
mahmoudoabuhashem 5. okt. 2019 kl. 7:53
Do bayazid the first (ottoman empire)
or add a timurid empire

Mohammed6344 30. juni 2019 kl. 2:04
will abdulhamid ii be an opition?
Captain Lime  [ophavsmand] 29. juni 2019 kl. 9:05
Short answer: No.

Long answer: I've got some concerns about Firaxis making Mehmed II for themselves, but mostly I find myself looking at other sultans. Other modders may have interest in Mehmed II, he's the second most well-known Ottoman Sultan behind Suleiman. But I like looking at those like Avci Mehmet, Orhan Bey, Mehmet Koprulu, Turhan Sultan, Ahmet I, Ahmet III, and Mahmud II - the lesser known leaders who had incredible impact on Ottoman history.
Mohammed6344 29. juni 2019 kl. 2:10
can you make fatih mehmed ii?
Captain Lime  [ophavsmand] 1. apr. 2019 kl. 15:02
Yes, when I get it to work.

Also, note to everyone even though it's unlikely you will read this:

SUBMITTING THE CRASH REPORT AND/OR COPYING THE ERROR CODE HERE DOES NOT DO ANYTHING, NOR HELP. If the Crash Reports go anywhere, it's to Firaxis and not me. The Error code that the game spits out simply says "Hey! A mod's not working!" To actually help me fix the mod, you need to get the database and lua logs.

You can get those logs from (probably) this:

1. Look in My Games, or wherever Civilization VI leaves its save games.
2. In that file, check the Civilization VI folder.
3. Find the Logs folder and open that up.
4. Upload the files listed "Database" and "Lua" to pastebin and post the link to the relevant mod.

Will this be an alternative leader of GS?

Just had a save game crash while using this mod. Submitted the crash report.

@dimitryp I wish I had read your comment before subscribing to this mod it would have saved me a heap of grief. I can confirm that removing the dependencies from the .modinfo file resolves the issues with other mods not loading from save games. Thanks for the post.
dimitryp 20. nov. 2018 kl. 22:53
There seems to be a bug with this mod (tracked it down to this particular one after enabling/disabling lots of my mods) where it disables some other mods (CQUI, Real Great People, Better Report Screen and a few others) after you load a savegame (initial game-start is ok). I believe it's because this mod depends on both the Poland Civ as well as the Poland scenario, which causes the mod load-order to get changed and some other mods dont like that.
A similar issue is duscussed here, where a mod fails because another mod also depends on a scanario (nubia, in this case)

When I have the Ottomans activated, the normal Bank building doesn't show on the map. I guess it's due to them as the Bedesten is the only Bank replacement I know.
Captain Lime  [ophavsmand] 7. nov. 2018 kl. 5:31
What do you mean by that?
Roodbaardt 4. nov. 2018 kl. 6:30
Can you fix the Bedesten? It takes away the normal Bank improvement graphics.

Just had to call it quits on an immortal game, standard size...fun civ to play. The idea seems to be to get a religion going, expand your empire, and go down the economic path--trading as much as possible and building commercial hub buildings--so that when renaissasnce hits you've got enough money to support a bunch of Janissaries. Janissaries and humbarici are fun to use in conjunction, and a properly dominant force. So then the downsides start kicking in: because Janissaries quickly become useless and they cost a ton, so you've got to figure out what victory you're going for....I got a little muddled in my tech path and by that time Mongolia was close to a culture victory. The mechanics of the civ trace the history, strengths and weaknesses of the Ottomans accurately, I think...and true to life, it's in converting that massive empire to a competitive modern state that the difficulty lies. Will definitely play again, though. Any tips?
Tekhne 4. sep. 2018 kl. 9:57
haven't actually played it yet, but been looking for a Turkish/Ottoman mod--this looks so great. LOVE the historically informed civ traits. Thank you for adding this; still don't understand why Ottomans are not in the game

tnx:steamhappy:
Arcadian 19. aug. 2018 kl. 19:24
Save game crashes for me too.
Captain Lime  [ophavsmand] 9. aug. 2018 kl. 8:37
Can you submit logs?
Mr.Ace 9. aug. 2018 kl. 7:13
There is a mistake. With this mod activated the saved game crashes.
strangeways 7. aug. 2018 kl. 16:45
Hi, I have no idea how to interpret the database.log, but through brute force trial and error I was able to narrow down a 3045188730 error to this mod. I can provide my log files through whichever method is best.
Sulaiman 2. aug. 2018 kl. 14:38
i hope you add Süleyman (sulaiman)
Captain Lime  [ophavsmand] 24. juli 2018 kl. 18:29
NO. STOP SHOUTING.
Captain Lime  [ophavsmand] 19. juli 2018 kl. 15:22
As of pretty much an hour before you asked, yes it now supports YNAEMP except for the Largest Earth map
steve 19. juli 2018 kl. 12:21

ser barristan 15. juli 2018 kl. 16:34

Captain Lime  [ophavsmand] 24. juni 2018 kl. 10:14

Faysal 17. juni 2018 kl. 7:19
About time! Thanks!
Jasko 16. juni 2018 kl. 14:50
good work more ottoman stuff ;-)
Captain Lime  [ophavsmand] 9. juni 2018 kl. 17:35
alright, I'll keep looking for the bug! Sorry you've been having issues with it, but atm I'm a bit busy with life so you might have to hang in there for a bit.
Tanstaafl 9. juni 2018 kl. 9:27
Yes, many. Most were for more civ's, resources and amenities. I also had loaded districts, city roads, UIM, and religion expanded. No user interface or mountain mods, or mods just to add units/buildings. I've used that same set of mods for numerous games with no problems.
Captain Lime  [ophavsmand] 7. juni 2018 kl. 10:17
@Tanstaafl - I've looked at the logs you've provided, and all the things related to the Humbaraci are solely issues with the Civilopedia, which I've now corrected. I couldn't find anything else; were you running any other mods when you encountered the problems?
Captain Lime  [ophavsmand] 7. juni 2018 kl. 9:59
The Ottomans are not compatible with TSL yet.
Beseffer 7. juni 2018 kl. 8:39
I tried to start a game with the Ottomans on a TSL Europe / Earth map however, when choosing the map, the Ottoman civ disappears from the list of civ's selections. Does anyone know why this happens
Tanstaafl 6. juni 2018 kl. 14:09
https://pastebin.com/Gz3Uh495

I'll save the log files in case you have other questions.
Captain Lime  [ophavsmand] 6. juni 2018 kl. 12:45
can you upload the file with the Humbaraci errors in it? A pastebin file specifically would help.
Tanstaafl 6. juni 2018 kl. 6:27
I started a new game after adding this mod and had no problems. I liked Selim's attitude. However, when I took a break and later on tried to resume it always crashed to the desktop.

I have Rule with Faith and the Poland DLC. I was using the scrambled north america map (not YnAEMP).

The database.log file appears to be full of localization errors about Humbaraci, and ERROR: UNIQUE constraint failed: LocalizedText.Language, LocalizedText.Tag . There were no errors in the modding.log file.
Lion6767 6. juni 2018 kl. 5:41
I'm getting a error message, when i try to launch the game with this mod installed.
Jay 5. juni 2018 kl. 17:33
You should create a Tibet mod! It's very empty in the central asian area in YNAEMP games...
Tiramisu 4. juni 2018 kl. 22:44
Captain Lime: It was my deepest regret that I could not make it so that the Janissaries would all turn barbarian if you tried to disband them

Tiramisu: It can be done.

Bravo. Amazing art work, a very nice mod but I think the UA is a bit op. 2gold/1prod per citizen in city that don't follow your religion including your cap from the beginning is too strong in my opinion. But again bravo!
Plutonian3 3. juni 2018 kl. 10:26
It doesn't work for me yet, but I am using Mac. It is to be expected. It will not let me enter a game using this mod. I do quite look forward to playing as the Ottoman Empire.
HibOwl 3. juni 2018 kl. 8:16
A very cool mod,Thank you !
Captain Lime  [ophavsmand] 3. juni 2018 kl. 6:48
Ah, that's nice then. Thanks!
Grathocke 3. juni 2018 kl. 6:30
@Captain Lime - Both units are in the game, with different specs and requirements.
