Ayyy, so I took this and changed some stuff to it, the model, the derma it builds and also made it go back to the select menu after opening a book, instead of staying on it.

I'll try to make my version work in multiplayer as well. Gonna upload my current version to the Workshop soon and will of course reference you. Unless you're completely done with the whole Gmod thing.

Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create... life. He became so powerful... the only thing he was afraid of was... losing his power, which, eventually of course he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.

Sorry I do not have plans to implement multiplayer support any time in the forseeable future.

i try refresh and press E and nothing happens (except the window comes up with nothing in it). i could be doin somethin wrong or maybe i just have nothing to read but idk

Try firing up a single player game and using it. I might have flubbed up somewhere with multiplayer support.

Yes and yes. Computer specs you mean? It's on my server and nobody can use it.

Curious. Are you close to the book? Are you sure you are spawning an entity not a prop? What are your specs?

No menu pops up, no errors.

It's in the entities tab. Spawn it and press E on it. You must be relativly close. The menu should open up. At the top should be a button labeled refresh. Click it and wait a few seconds. Press E on the book again and choose a text to read.

Alright. How does it work, though, is there 1 entity per book or something?

The system in place is currently unable to support local books. I'm trying to create a work around but it might involve a complete rewrite.

I agree with Matt, that'd be cool.

You should make a way to make your own book in game. not publishing them to the addon so everyone can read dem.
