Just started using this in alpha 8, and it works great. It's easy to build, and I like the open floorplan that allows for customization as you get materials to add features like constructors and food processors, etc. As I expanded, I put a door in the rear and connected a greenhouse for food production. Great design!

We have now made the following change to the ZeroG-Drop-Base.

-removed 12 ceiling tiles to allow for 2 high devices and added textures

Actually does'nt take much to blow out a hole in floor for a constructor by placing the blocks under ground for base, would need just 4 extra blocks. Also can add turrents sitting on platforms extended from roofsides. Added a a few sentrys on corners by solar panel myself in creative then saved it to my private collection.

I don't get how this is in-game. One story high means it's a useless base.

Unfortunatly due to the way the ceiling is constructed, the interior is only 1 block tall. Built this only to be unable to place a large constructor. Have to mod it from the start to make it usable for anything but the most basic of shelters. This is not the easiest thing with only the survival tool.

Also, don't let a drone anywhere near this thing. Thin wood ceiling pops fast to incomming fire, but kind of expected wth such a low cost. No place to add turrets of any kind. I'd expect a v2 or 3 with some additions.

I like the look of this. Any chance you can make some sort of mobile base CV (I'm quite into those at the moment) that would work as a space station or look like a permanent structure on a planet? Perhaps make this a competition? I'm on a server where ores are spread on different planets so something mobile is really useful. I have one on my WS but it's a bit crap.

@jrandall I tried to keep it simple. It did have avor 450 rock dust but after collaborating with Kieve, he suggested some wood blocks to lower the requirements. I was able to shave off alot of resources and right at a min for the build time.
