Bigger Inventory now has Mod Unbinder in it. I'll add another option later on to skip confirmation.

Meaning; You can remove Mod Unbinder and save your mod slot for something else.

Well this is a dummy mod... it doesn't have anything in it, except just an unused item. This thing drives me mad
Andii 24. maj 2013 kl. 4:14
Doesn't seem to sucessfully unbind the patch. I followed the steps and soon as I disabled the unbinder, it told me that the patch is still required.

So either I keep this on, or keep the unbinder on :p
lyravega  [ophavsmand] 24. maj 2013 kl. 3:53
That's just fantastic. I mean I have no words Runic...

Sorry guys, I can't do anything about this, have you tried "mod unbinder"?
Andii 24. maj 2013 kl. 1:50
I've just tried, and it's still saying it's required :p
Þ 23. maj 2013 kl. 19:05
Still saying it's required for me too.
lyravega  [ophavsmand] 23. maj 2013 kl. 6:35
Ok, it should be "fixed" now. If it still reports as "required", please go on to the Runic Forums and join the "down with requirements" group :P Kidding aside, it shouldn't list as required (it doesn't for me) anymore.
lyravega  [ophavsmand] 23. maj 2013 kl. 6:31
Yeah, I just realized since it has nothing in it, it didn't "compile" properly. Gonna throw some stupid stuff in, and then you can remove I guess.
lyravega  [ophavsmand] 23. maj 2013 kl. 6:29
Well, now that is interesting. I mean, mod essentially has nothing in it, maybe that's the problem...
Andii 22. maj 2013 kl. 8:17
After I've removed the mod, its still saying I require it for the character and just tells me to restart TL2 and put the mod back on? Am I missing something obvious? :p
lyravega  [ophavsmand] 22. maj 2013 kl. 4:53
Ok, you should be able to safely remove this mod now.
lyravega  [ophavsmand] 18. maj 2013 kl. 4:13
This patch is no longer necessary, and will be converted to a dummy mod at 21th of this month. Then you can remove this mod.
Andii 12. apr. 2013 kl. 12:34
Thanks for the replys, just wanted to see that's all :)
Salan 12. apr. 2013 kl. 11:24
its to late sadly...
lyravega  [ophavsmand] 12. apr. 2013 kl. 8:49
There is Andii. But that is past due - I mean if I do it now, it'll cause problems for many people.
Andii 12. apr. 2013 kl. 1:46
Is there no way to have the patch and Bigger Inventory as one single Mod? Just so it doesn't take up two slots for one thing! Sorry if this is stupid to even ask :/
Salan 11. apr. 2013 kl. 13:21
Any changes I do that effect this mod I will make sure Lyra knows about as quick as I can
lyravega  [ophavsmand] 11. apr. 2013 kl. 10:14
@RedRover72, good to hear man!
RedRover72 11. apr. 2013 kl. 10:10
Thanks, it seems to be working without issues.
lyravega  [ophavsmand] 11. apr. 2013 kl. 8:09
@X Knyght, I intend to, don't worry :)
X Knyght 11. apr. 2013 kl. 8:00
Thank god I found this, my game kept on crashing everytime I try to use the Gem Saver. Please keep this updated with SynergiesMod and we'll all be set!
Salan 11. apr. 2013 kl. 7:21
oh you need the other, i get it
lyravega  [ophavsmand] 11. apr. 2013 kl. 7:12
@Salan, great! I'll try to keep this patch updated as you add new stuff ^_^ But this shouldn't be subscribed by anyone that isn't using Bigger Inventory. I'll update the description over here.
lyravega  [ophavsmand] 11. apr. 2013 kl. 7:02
@RedRover72, TL;DR: Back your save up, see if anything is required after attempting to unbind. If un-binder fails, there is no need to merge the mods. If it succeeds, proceed. Just be sure to enable the merged mod while disabling (unbinding) the "old" mods; to keep your items safe.
lyravega  [ophavsmand] 11. apr. 2013 kl. 7:02
@RedRover72, the files in this patch should overwrite the files in Bigger Inventory, as you've imagined.

Be careful however, as mod-unbinder is not fail-proof. Sometimes, it cannot unbind (well, it just forces the game to continue, game "handles" the rest). Keeping mod-unbinder active will allow you to keep playing though. But that would be again using 2 mod slots in total; back your save up, and see if anything is required after the "unbind".

Game itself has a terrible bind detection, on one character, when I enabled all three mods (Synergies + Compatibility + Inventory), the inventory mod wasn't showing up as required, and mod unbinder wasn't able to get rid of Synergies or Compatibility. However, no problems on my other character, I can get rid of everything, which raises further questions...
Salan 10. apr. 2013 kl. 22:26
hey Lyra, i'll send you the synergies addon graphic for this, and put it in my official collection
RedRover72 10. apr. 2013 kl. 20:29
No worries, just wasn't sure if there was a reason why they weren't already merged. I have no problems running the unbinder mod if needed. So, just to be sure I'm clear... this patch goes on top of Bigger Inventory, so I should copy this patch into the media folder 2nd, then repack?
lyravega  [ophavsmand] 10. apr. 2013 kl. 16:36
@RedRover72, in theory, yes, but the binding may cause problems. Mod Unbinder may be necessary. If you would like to proceed, I can write the steps in detail.
RedRover72 10. apr. 2013 kl. 15:34
Can this be merged with the bigger inventories mod so it only takes 1 mod slot? I mean if I merged it myself with guts, would it work right?
Scyris 8. apr. 2013 kl. 20:40
Ahh cool, I hope you post that mod, people would make use of it I bet,
lyravega  [ophavsmand] 8. apr. 2013 kl. 20:02
@Scyris, I already developed a mod to unbind mods from saves :) I have been waiting for hours - lost my internet connection for a while.

About binding issue, since my mod alters (adds) 2 lines to "\\players\base.dat", it binds to stuff.
Scyris 8. apr. 2013 kl. 13:45
I am curious though, Why does bigger inv bind to saves but most other inventory mods don't. Maybe it has to do with the pet inv?
Scyris 8. apr. 2013 kl. 13:45
Now, we just gotta hope Runic does something about save binding mods, I know in torchlight 1 mods did this but you could bypass the warning and still get into the game, however in tl2, for some reason it just refuses to let the save load.
