Of course! if I need some opinions for the next stuff I'll let you know!
I agree that it's pretty hard getting something positive from the community lol especially since people have very different tastes so it's impossible to make everyone happy.
You can add me of course :) I don't really play much rust anymore though I'm working full time and this game takes so much time haha
Just realized this is a Rust workshop thread. Usually, the Rust community is very toxic, even in the workshop. People like you are more like an exception. Do you play often? Mind if I add you and we play some? Lately I am getting tired of the toxicity of this community and I'd love to play with friendly people
Glad to hear that! always nice to get positive feedback :) I'm not really thinking about continuing the hero collection, that was mostly an idea I wanted to try but while pretty popular the developers didn't like it much I think..
Maybe a bit more of the industrial stuff or maybe go back to the treasure hunter style.Honestly I have lots of idea but really little time to make them haha
What would replace 'treasure hunt'? Maybe something like 'nobility' or 'heirloom'? Or maybe even 'historic' or 'museum'? I'm a bit curious on what do you have in mind
Good know that you are working on new stuff. I'm actually following only two people in the Rust workshop - you and the guy who has made the Glory SAR/BAR. It's crazy how you guys come up with so many new great ideas. I'm a bit curious on what direction are you taking next. Will you make more treasure hunter stuff or? I've seen you have posted some superhero skins too, which contrasts a lot from the treasure hunt set
The problem with that is the loooong list of skins recommended but not accepted which gets longer and longer so old skins are very hard to see and rarely get in the game.
Would probably be easier to just remake a similar skin but with a new name and somewhat different design.
I am of course! Always working on new stuff :) Although this week I'll probably just fix the AK47 and make the non glowing version.
This means that as time goes, less pirate-themed skins become available to the public. People buy those skins then quit the game or take a break, new people join, etc. Please correct me if I am wrong but Rust marketplace is designed on a way that it naturally increases demand on all products. For example, there are skins that became so rare that the cost 30 bucks or even more :O
If I got it right, the game needs a constant stream of new skins of each category, including the pirate/steampunk themes.
You have mentioned 'old skins'. Are you working on new ones too? :O
I agree with your point on the contrast improvement since these haven't been accepted based on the "muddy" look which is a bit hard to read.
I'm not sure if there is still a market for the gold/pirate theme since quite a lot of those have been accepted recently so I'm still not sure about remaking my old skins but I will definitely keep your advice in mind for my next skins!
I hope you don't mind if I share an idea on how I believe this rifle and some other models in your library could improve.
The combo of gold + wood is amazing and I was wondering, what if the wooden parts would be darker, made out of something like ebony or mahogany? The contrast between gold/bronze and dark brown (almost black) might look really well in game. Most of the times, we are in poorly illuminated areas , so having gear with slightly more contrast would probably look more expressive. What do you think?
