(If you check the details of the storyline, I think you will find that the norse settled uninhabited areas that were in some cases seasonal hunting grounds. And that the Inuit-norse interactions were very limited, and mostly antagonistic, and if it were not for the precarious situation of these colonies, outright hostilities would have ensued much earlier.

Of course, if you go to Greenland,you need to include the inuit, and the hunting grounds (in the far north), - which they were completely reliant on for survival, until the inuits decided to ♥♥♥♥ THEM UP
