@Interuse, when both have the trait they share queue also with robots, that's nothing I can change.

But it's actually not that straight forward that your growth will be halved just because they share queue, because the planet pop malus doesn't count when natural growth is disabled, so each pop will grow faster. I counter balance this in turn with slower growth for the trait pops. so on big planets, it could actually still be faster.

This mod badly affects on Syncretic Evolution becouse you can build only one pop per time, when the major feature of this Civ is coming from having separate species growing in parallel.
Any chances to fix this?
A "Workaround" for this problem is to have one species (the main one e.g.) without control, but this is inconvenient.
Commander 13. apr. 2018 kl. 8:54
yep there working now thanks for fixing it
Commander 13. apr. 2018 kl. 8:48
k thanks i check to see if it works
Naeven  [ophavsmand] 13. apr. 2018 kl. 8:40
@Commander, this is not a conflict per say, but rather that the 4 mods you have that adds portraits also adds new species_classes with them, that my mod was not aware off. I've updated it now with a compatibility_patch for; saurischian portraits, sharkanian portraits, xirmian portrait, ElvesOfStellaris - so it should work for you, please test.

it looks like its the cutsosm races are not working but the defalt one work fine
Commander 13. apr. 2018 kl. 4:10
also both races had the birth control trait
Commander 13. apr. 2018 kl. 4:09
the civics are gene purity/barbaric despoilers/information control/synceretic evolution/war engineers the race of the empire is the raptors and xirmian the raptors are slaves
Naeven  [ophavsmand] 13. apr. 2018 kl. 4:02
@commander, I need more info to troubleshoot that. What empire/civics are you playing? Do you have any other mod that somehow changes robots or creates more Buildable pops?
Commander 13. apr. 2018 kl. 3:51
so i ran into a bug or mod confick not sure which but it wont let me get into the build pop menu
Naeven  [ophavsmand] 13. apr. 2018 kl. 3:08
@spilik cool, I was not aware of that mod. I’ll check that out later. But at a first glance, there seems to be a few key differences between our mods.
Commander 12. apr. 2018 kl. 12:31
ok i was worndering how the ai worked with becuse i have a habit of make a new race a lot and changeing the old one i was useing and im fine with autobuild not working i just wanted to let you know it donsint work
Naeven  [ophavsmand] 12. apr. 2018 kl. 11:00
@Zoidberg Jesus, OK, so there was nothing special about Rogue Servitors, I just didn't realise that they have pop control turn on by defaut. I updated the mod now without any restrictions for Rogue Servitors.
Naeven  [ophavsmand] 12. apr. 2018 kl. 10:29
@Zoidberg Jesus Yes, I've removed the option from Rogue Servitors for now since I could not make it work the same way as the other bio pops at first glance. I'll take another look at that again seperatly and see if I can figure it out.
Zoidberg Jesus 12. apr. 2018 kl. 10:26
There may be an issue when using this as Rogue Servitors. Added the trait at start to my bio-pops and it had no effect. No bio-pops able to be build manually with population controls enabled or disabled, and when disabled they continued to grow despite the trait.
Naeven  [ophavsmand] 12. apr. 2018 kl. 6:13
To clarify, the AI doesn’t even have the option to build these via Buildable pops currently.
Naeven  [ophavsmand] 12. apr. 2018 kl. 6:09
@commander AI will not choose this trait themselves, if they somehow conquer/end up with these pops anyway currently natural growth will still be disabled for AI. But I’m already fixing that for next version, I just have not tested that change enough to publish it yet. I’ve not looked into how auto build mod works, but isn’t that a good thing? Since the main point of this mod is that you take control over planning yourself.
Commander 12. apr. 2018 kl. 4:00
also autobulid mod dos not build the non robot pops
Commander 12. apr. 2018 kl. 3:58
if a ai race has the birth controlled trait will it work fine or dos the ai brake?
Naeven  [ophavsmand] 10. apr. 2018 kl. 12:21
Added a new trait "Birth Controlled" that will disable the normal growth. trait can be selected for free at start, or be gene-modden on to a species during the game.

I made some progress today on how to disable growth but still keep enable buildable pops. I got it working using a dummy event i scripted, but when doing so it will put all buildable pops in the same queue (along side robots). So that means using this option your total growth will go (maybe i can compensate that with other effects).
Naeven  [ophavsmand] 9. apr. 2018 kl. 11:00
@ouranos currently it's not locked behind anything, I'll consider your proposal for the future, I do agree that it probably makes sense. Currently I'm testing alot and want it available right from start.
Caelum 9. apr. 2018 kl. 10:32
Is this locked behind the Cloning technology? If not, I think it'd make sense for it to be so.
Archemyre 8. apr. 2018 kl. 12:27
Cool, thanks for trying. It's been a feature I've wanted in the game for like a year now.
Naeven  [ophavsmand] 8. apr. 2018 kl. 11:42
I’ve experimented with pop control and have not been able make it work yet.
Probably I can make it work via scripted events or via pre-defined species, such as syncretic evolution slaves. But I’ll have dig into that later.
Archemyre 8. apr. 2018 kl. 11:01
Is there any way you can make it so you can build pops under population control like this, but not normal ones?
Naeven  [ophavsmand] 8. apr. 2018 kl. 1:57
I'm happy you like it! :) I'm a bit hesitant on how much food it should cost, but early game this function will probably not be used much and mid-end game when this functions really comes in handy, then you should have plenty of food anyway. So I think it was fair that it cost some food and was not completely free.

I love LOVE this! Finally some use for my devouring swarm excess food
