not all pc are created equal....sounds like it might be a possible hardware limitation issue. especially if only higher settings are causing game to crash.

i darn hate that when i put the shader to high and go in a game IT CRASHES wtf? if i have everything but the shader on low and the shader on high IT STILL CRASHES and btw is the shader for the flashlight to or what option is it?

fx will not show on medium and low settings (or weak/low end pc)
not all maps have good/proper cubemaps.....fx are cubemap dependant.
