So, with the Orbital Ambition Civic, is it supposed to cost nothing to build? My game seems to give the ability to build them without needing ANY resources, and it also seems to have several other 'megastructures' that are titled 'potential', '}', and other random things like that..
You can't future-proof software in the way you describe. You might want to go back to whatever future you just came from where you can.
Habitats from this mod don't change any of the vanilla functionality regarding core systems or total colonies.

also, can you have multiple in parallel?
Press the yes button. If the game doesn't launch, that's not because of an outdated mod.
